Welcome, interns! This summer, we’re excited to host four promising ad pros who will contribute to projects across the agency – providing thought leadership, fresh perspectives, and welcome support for our clients. Stay tuned for more content coming from this group throughout the summer.

Employee resource groups constantly evolve, and TRG ever strives to make ours better for the health of our culture and the vitality of our business. We’re delighted to celebrate the many women honored at last week’s Alliance for Women in Media DFW Awards of Excellence Gala. Well-deserved congratulations to TRG’s very own April Iseral, who took home the Media Agency Buyer of the Year award – for the fourth time! Our other deserving nominees were Kassie Katinas, Mindy Stratton, Kim Delaney, and Carla Behlen.

In honor of National Mural Day, TRG celebrates all artists, and today specifically muralists. Our neighborhood of Deep Ellum showcases over 150 murals. We are proud to have nine posted on our office walls, tying back to the neighborhood art. Jon Flaming, the acclaimed Texas artist behind our campaign for Crazy Water, created the mural in our main lobby. We are proud to embrace, celebrate, and highlight creativity of all kinds.

TRG is proud to help students reach for the stars – especially the 133 local scholars supported by Education is Freedom. Look out, world! These brilliant minds are ready to make a difference.

The lobby area of TRG Studios hosts an art gallery featuring the work of agency artists across all our disciplines. The gallery wall is dedicated in honor of Robin Ayres, whom we lost in 2022. While at TRG, Robin led Flying Start, our naming agency, but she was talented in many ways. Outside of work, she was an accomplished jewelry artist – one of her necklaces was once displayed at the Comme des Garcons Trading Museum in Tokyo, Japan.

Gallery founder Karen Newman struck up a conversation with Robin several years ago discussing all the talented people our agency employs who are not technically “creatives” and found a need to showcase artists of all kinds. When we moved into the new building in January 2023, a space to highlight creativity from all was born, no matter their craft. A few of our TRG artists have been displayed here, and we look forward to highlighting many more. It’s a great way to discover, celebrate, and share our coworkers’ talents outside of advertising.

One of TRG’s very own, brand strategy director Anna Scott Phillips, had her cameo moment on On Strategy Showcase, the number one strategy podcast in the advertising industry. Along with host Fergus O’Carroll, Anna Scott was joined by our Dave’s Killer Bread client. They discussed the fascinating consumer behavior of “BreadHeads” and the “mystique” of Dave.

A billion dollar business expanding beyond the bread aisle — On Strategy Showcase With a brand platform of "Breaking the Rules for Good," Dave's could have gone purpose-first with its founder's backstory of incarceration. But it didn’t.

This week, TRG hosted 21 students from Dallas ISD’s Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center High School through our partnership with the Career Technical Education Program. After a tour of our workspace, we discussed advertising’s various career paths. Then the students dove in on a project for our World’s Best Cat Litter client and presented their ideas. Thank you for the visit and creative energy, Townview High! We loved meeting you and can’t wait for many of you to join this wonderful industry.

TRG was honored to take home 12 gold ADDYs, multiple silver ADDYs, and the 2024 Mosaic Award last night at the American Advertising Awards – and our very own Lynn Louria was honored as the Production Partner of the Year. Thank you to for a wonderful evening and for showcasing our clients, peers, and community.

TRG was a proud sponsor of 2023’s Black Tie Dinner, which enjoyed a record-breaking year of fundraising for North Texas beneficiaries ($1.73 million). For the first time in 42 years, the dinner surpassed the $1 million mark – a true testament to the unwavering generosity of our community. Congratulations!

Huge thanks to Aquí@TRG for hosting TRG’s first Hispanic Heritage Month discussion panel. Ethan Rios, Alondra Gonzalez, Eduardo Chairez, Alissa Llort, and Jessica Vasquez Walker opened up about their backgrounds, heritages, and traditions to remind us of the importance of honoring the diversity in all our cultures.

Last week, We Give hosted our second TRGiving Week. One of our favorite times at the agency, this event provides us with so many opportunities to give back to the community. TRGers volunteered at several DFW locations including Deep Ellum Urban Gardens, the Dallas SPCA, Ronald McDonald House, and the Gladys Love Project.

Happy National Intern Day! In addition to supporting nationally recognized clients this summer, this group participated in our intern seminar series of weekly topics including lunches with agency leadership, breakfast with our CEO, career coaching and counseling, and specific sessions with strategy and creative groups. This spring, TRG partnered with Louisiana State University (LSU) in their First-Gen Mentor Program, which helps students gain firsthand business experience from mentors in the professional world. LSU student Jenny Hoang and TRG’s Sergio Aldana kicked off our inaugural year in the program.
