Mykahla Briscoe is the daughter of Rev. Alvin & Stephanie Briscoe and the granddaughter of Ella Green. She is a graduate of Albany State University where she obtained a master’s degree in Social Work. Mykahla’s next steps are to sit for the board exam, and dive into the social work field.

Ruby Martin is a graduate of Dallas College. She received an Associate Degree in Office Administration. While a student at Dallas College, Ruby was in the National Honor Society for Collegiate Scholars. Her future plans are to work in business from home.

Javon Brown is the daughter of Rodney & Lisa Brown, and the granddaughter of Patricia Washington. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University In school where she received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. At SMU, Javon was Orientation Leader, the Director of Programming for the Association of Black Students, FRO Natural Hair Network Secretary, National Panhellenic Council Secretary, & Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Kappa Mu Secretary, Assistant Membership Chair, and Mail Correspondence. She also received the SMU Black Alumni Scholarship, 2021-2023. In the future, Javon plans to attend graduate school to obtain her MBA degree.

Jakayla Robinson is the daughter of Patrick and Tenisha Robinson. She is a graduate of North Forney High School. Jakayla plans to attend Paul Quinn College and major in psychology.

A’Naya Lipscomb is the daughter of Monteshia and Charles Hooks. She is a graduate of Crandall High School where she was the student council historian, was on the audio & visual production team, and the Gold Duster drill team. In addition, A’Naya was a member of the National Honor Society, a Pirate TV producer, and held a 3.8 GPA. Here at NEB, A’Naya sings in the youth choir. A’Naya plans to attend Howard University to study marketing with a concentration in media/film.

Kyana Hudson is the daughter of Ashley Hudson, stepdaughter of Lewis Key, granddaughter of Bobbie Hudson, & niece of Thelma Sowells. She is a graduate of Skyline High School in which she participated in the WOW Program, health fair, & cluster recruitment. She also was in the National Honor Society, and was a certified Auto CAD user. Kyana also graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing & Industrial Technology from Dallas College. Kyana is a praise dancer with NEB’s Royalty. She plans to start a summer internship using her certification, and will start her first semester at a university in the fall. Kyana will major in business and hospitality management.

It's graduation season and we couldn't be happier for our NEB graduates. Join us here each day as we celebrate a different graduate.

Up first, Jonathan Brown. Jonathan is the son of Rodney and Lisa Brown, and the grandson of Patricia Washington. He is a graduate of DeSoto High School. In school, Jonathan was involved in basketball, baseball, student council, culinary, and was named Homecoming Prince (2022) and King (2023). He also received A and A/B Honor Roll recognition, Perfect Attendance, and was awarded a scholarship from the Southwest Dallas County Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Jonathan is a part of NEB’s Phase III, youth choir, youth ushers, and Feed 5000+. After high school, Jonathan plans to attend North Carolina A&T State University to study journalism.

We honor God through serving our Senior Saints. If you are age 65 and up, there is a place for you. You are needed and appreciated, and we invite you to join our S.O.S community.
