I want to express my gratitude to all the couples who participated and attended the MTRC Marriage conference this year. We had some incredible speakers, and I am very thankful and proud of them for pouring into our lives and marriages, especially since it's not an easy standing before God’s people ,
But I would like to think Pastor Robertson and his lovely wife,the Lewises , the Turners for being obedient and doing a great job. Also, I thank our Bishop Thomas allowing us to give leadership over this ministry and last, but not least. I would like to thank my wife, Essie Dorrough she works so hard trying to get this conference off the ground and get it done to make it what it was great job, she loves marriages and while Even nursing me back to health and working,and have full-time job ,in seeing after the family so hats off to her just want to give honor where honor is due. Dear Lord,

Thank You for our marriage. Thank You for the time we have spent together. Thank You for the time we have struggled together and thank You for the victories we have shared together. We pray we would see how extraordinary our marriage is and the purpose You have given our relationship. We pray we would have eyes to see from Your perspective and hearts that understand how our marriage can have a positive impact in this world. We pray we would continue to grow and mature. We pray we would grow stronger in our relationship with each other and with You. We pray we would be a light in this world, sharing Your love and testimony wherever we go in Jesus’ name AMEN!

Food for Thought.. our Men of Color are challenged daily. Let the home be a home of peace and prayer and most of all God centered🙏🏾🙏🏾

Prayer: Responding To Conflict

Dear Lord,

Thank You for our marriage. Thank You for all of the time we spend together and thank You for all of the precious memories we have made together. We lift up our marriage to You and ask that You would mature us. Please help us grow in our faith and in our love for one another. We pray that when we experience conflict in our relationship, we would respond to each other in love. We pray we would respond to each other with respect. We pray we would be quick to reconcile. We pray we would be humble. Please help us to understand each other and communicate graciously in Jesus’ name AMEN!

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in Me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Prayer: Apologizing To Each Other

Dear Lord,

Thank You for using the difficult things in this life to draw us closer to You. We pray we would keep running to You every day and every moment. We pray we would get better at apologizing to one another in marriage. We desire to walk in humility and to put each other first. Please help us to have to the right words. Please help us to lay aside pride. We pray we would participate in the ministry of reconciliation as we choose to truly reconcile in our marriage when we hurt each other. We pray Your name would be magnified as we walk in Your ways in Jesus’ name AMEN!
