God directed Jacob to return to Canaan and to settle in Bethel but after the confrontation with Esau he settled short of Bethel in Shechem - a place of compromise and wickedness. Partial obedience is in reality disobedience. We must be willing to fully obey God and not settle in Shechem - a place of compromise.

As believers we are the firstborn and have a Spiritual birthright, of being a Priest, of possessing precious Promises, and of having Power and Authority. The Question is: How often do we do we sell our Spiritual Birthright?
