HB 2504 passes! Local Relief Nursery contacted me needing some help, and we figured out a legislative solution. In short, it helps solve a workforce problem so relief nurseries can help kids and families who badly need it. Very well qualified people with degrees in another language couldn't get through the registry and certification system. I'm so pleased that my bill passed the House today! When I pass good legislation like this it’s with help from good colleagues like these.

Library Day in Salem: Oregon Library Association members talked with legislators about school and public libraries. Yes, plenty of people use libraries - and they're a key resource for internet access, too. Later I walked over to the State Library of Oregon to pick out a book to donate to Eugene Public Library and got a donut too (for me)
