Good Shepherd Student Ministry

Next Saturday, June 29th join us to serve at Metrocrest from 9-1pm. We will be working at the Resale Shop located at 2661 Midway Rd. Suite 207 in Carrollton. Please let Lauren know if you can help out.

Thanks to this awesome crew for helping pack snack bags and bake cookies for the St. Jude Center and we even tackled the dreaded pantry shelf in the parish kitchen. It is now clean and organized! We were so proud of ourselves.

Hey everyone! This Sunday night we will be working on a few service projects including doing a little baking and assembling snack bags for the St. Jude Center. We will meet in the parish hall from 4:30-6pm. I hope to see you there!!

Celebrating Super Bowl Sunday with a little bowling. 🎳

We have 2 big events coming up in February. #1 It’s our annual Superbowling Trip! Join us after church at Bowlero to eat pizza, bowl, play some arcade games and have a little fun before that other big football game later in the day. #2 It’s Pancake Supper time!! I need your help to cook, pancakes and bacon! We will start cooking at 4pm and service will begin at 5:30pm. Community service hours are available for helping. Let me know if you can volunteer.

We had such a great time today at Game Room Battle Shows! Definitely worth a trip to play.

THIS SUNDAY!! We are heading to Game Show Battle Rooms. We will get to compete in 3 classic game shows with a real host and everything. The cost is $35. We will meet at the church at 11:45am, eat pizza and then head to Farmers Branch. We will return by 2:30pm. We have a limited number of spots so please sign up today!

This group did such an amazing job tonight cooking and serving at our Epiphany Spaghetti Dinner! We had over 150 in attendance and are so grateful for all the support. Up next, our Pancake Supper on February 13th!! 🍝 💥

THIS Sunday is our annual Epiphany Spaghetti Dinner. I need your help! I’m in need of youth to help cook and serve dinner beginning at 4:00pm and wrapping up by 6:30pm. You can receive community service hours for helping. Send a DM to sign up. 🍝

This group had such an amazing time at our annual Youth Group Progressive Dinner! Thank you to the Machas and Snyders for hosting us for appetizers and desserts. And thank you to all the parents who provided such awesome food and helped serve and clean up. We couldn’t have done it without ya’ll. That’s a wrap for 2023 but don’t forget the Epiphany Spaghetti dinner is just around the corner on Sunday, January 7th. See y’all then! 🎄

We had such a great time this afternoon ice skating in Rockwall. We got to meet some other youth from our diocese and see a performance from some phenomenal skaters. See everyone in 2 weeks at our Progressive Dinner Christmas Party.

We are heading ice skating! Join us on Sunday, December 3rd from 12:30-3:30pm to head to Skate the Lake in Rockwall. The cost is $15. RSVP to Lauren to sign up.

Is that time of year again! This Sunday we are putting together care packages for our college students before they head into finals. Do you know a college student that would like to receive one? Please let me know!

We had a great time tonight at our Pumpkin Party! We made 20 loaves of pumpkin bread to donate to an area food pantry, painted and carved pumpkins and we even cooked some of the seeds to eat. We are very grateful to Wes Snyder for cooking our hamburgers and hot dogs for our dinner and all of our other wonderful volunteers that made the evening a great success. Thank you everyone for coming out!

Are you coming to our spooktacular Pumpkin Party on Sunday?? We’ve got all the supplies bought. Pumpkin carving/painting, pumpkin bread making, games, hamburgers and hotdogs. We can’t wait to see you there!

The Co-Ed soccer team at GSES won their first playoff game against Cornerstone Christian. Way to go team!! ⚽️

We had a great time baking cookies tonight for our cooking competition. Some of our recipes were winners and others…not so much. 🍪

2 things are happening tomorrow. We have our weekly bible study at 9:15am in the Youth Room and tomorrow night join us for a cooking competition from 4:30-6pm with a waffle bar as our snack. See y’all there!

Join us for regular youth group this Sunday from 4:30-6PM in the youth room. We will be doing a fun study of Genesis and talking about all of God’s creations and creating our own beautiful paintings with a little Bob Ross time. We also have walking tacos on the snack menu. See you there!
