As summer approaches, we are reminded of the innovative engineering that underpins The Crescent. Spanning over a million square feet, our complex utilizes a state-of-the-art 1.3 million gallons thermal storage chilled water system to maintain cool environments efficiently. Located underground near Shake Shack, this system chills water overnight to 35 degrees and circulates it throughout the day, significantly reducing our peak-hour electricity consumption and ensuring cost-effective operations.

This system demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and showcases our engineering team's expertise in creating a comfortable and energy-efficient work environment. Caroline Hunt Was 'The Guiding Spirit' of Dallas Hunt, whose business prowess was matched by her philanthropy, brought forth the iconic Crescent complex as the first significant building in what’s now Uptown.

Excavation of The Crescent began in 1982 with a large hole in the ground, one of the largest on record at the time. That hole transformed into our 5-level, 4100-space underground parking garage.

During the final construction phase in 1986, Orion Pictures and director Paul Verhoeven used the parking garage to stage and film a scene for the movie . If you watch the movie, look for the scene filmed at The Crescent!
