Unfortunately I am no longer selling on Etsy. I have had issues on the platform since I started. Etsy has very strict guidelines and has made it very difficult as a seller to use the platform. They use AI to screen listings and flag key words, then delete your listing for going against etsy policy and "making medical claims" They give no explanation of what words are not permitted for use and customer service is not a thing. After a year building my shop, finally getting notice, great reviews, star seller status and general headache of dealing with constant push back and deleted listings my shop has been permanently deleted by etsy.
I tried to appeal the deletion and was denied.
When I say I have tried following their manual and guidelines I am not joking. Imagine trying to list an item that you spent hours researching, experimenting, and creating to help with dry skin and your not allowed to use the word moisturizing without being deleted, talk about disheartening.
Etsy is no longer for creators and crafters who use the platform to make a living they are about investors and drop shipped garbage.

All of that being said before I hop right on a big soap box, I am currently re working my business strategies. I will not let this stop me!! Stay tuned for hoopiesholistics.com!!! I am not a professional website designer by any means so it will take me some time to get going.

Lets talk deodorant. Most commercially available deodorant contains aluminum, parabens, phthalates, and many other toxic chemicals. These chemicals are endocrine disruptors, which means they have potential to mimic estrogen and interfere with the body's hormone levels.

Aluminum compounds clog your pores, blocking your body’s ability to perspire. Perspiration is essential to maintaining healthy skin. As you sweat, you’ll regulate your body temperature and release toxins from your body. When you block your body’s ability to sweat, you open yourself up to a number of skin infections, conditions and health concerns. Aluminum compounds are absorbed into the body through the very sweat glands they’re meant to block. And the substances have long been thought to carry the risk of cancer, in particular, breast cancer. Aluminum, is a known neurotoxicant, contributes to cognitive dysfunction and may contribute to Alzheimer's disease. For your best health, avoid antiperspirants entirely. Your body needs to sweat; blocking the sweat glands that help you regulate your skin’s healthy balance will absolutely do more harm than good.

Parabens mimic estrogen in your body. This is true for both men and women. This “synthetic” estrogen can build up in the body, causing breast cancer and prostate cancer. This estrogen effect can also cause problems with the reproductive system, including fertility problems.

Phthalates can be a hidden toxin in your drug store deodorant, as they’re frequently listed under the umbrella term “fragrance.” However, phthalates are very harmful, Phthalates have been linked to breast, ovarian and prostate cancer. They’ve been known to cause endocrine disruption. They cause liver, lung and kidney damage, as well as decreased s***m count and infertility. Phthalates aren’t just harmful to humans, either. Like other ingredients on this list, they’re released into the environment and have a severe impact on aquatic systems. Fish fertility is affected, and the impact is long-lasting. Remember that phthalates can be included in the fragrance, so be sure to avoid artificial fragrance, too.

Fragrance, almost every product you’ll buy at the drug store contains an ingredient called “fragrance.” It sounds pretty harmless, right? Wrong, because of the percentage of these chemicals as a part of the whole product, manufacturers are allowed to simply list “fragrance” as an ingredient on products. However, this one ingredient may contain dozens of individual chemicals, the average fragrance contains about 14 ingredients. Around 80% of these ingredients have never been safety tested for human use.

2023 was my official first year in business😊 What a year it was!!! Thru lots of trail and error, late nights creating products, full days at craft shows and lots of love poured into this thing I am happy to say I survived!! A huge thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way, I wouldn't be doing this without you!!

2024 is a new chance to take all I have learned, worked for and believe so much in and grow even more! I have more great all natural and organic personal care products in the works and I can't wait to share them! I also have a goal to do better about managing social media because well...I'm not 😅 so you'll be seeing more of me this year!!

I do this because I am passionate about providing products that you can trust to be healthy, not full of harmful chemicals, with ingredients you can pronounce and recognize. I will continue to do just that and provide the absolute best quality products that I can at fair price points.
