Trans Day of Visibility - March 31st is a day to remember and celebrate those who are trans worldwide. We honor history, we honor Marsha P. Johnson, we honor all those who are brave enough to be who they truly are. Your s*x does not define who you are, and it most certainly does not take away your right to transition (if you choose to do so). Today, we are facing a crisis in multiple states that are a threat to our trans community. The “don’t say gay” bill is expanding, and the lives of many of our friends, family, coworkers, etc. are facing discrimination beyond belief. Banning gender-affirming care will not stop their existence, and we should do all we can to support those who need this care. Trans people deserve to express themselves however they see fit, and they certainly deserve to get the care they require, whether socially or medically. We, as the community of Fraternity and Sorority Life, acknowledge the importance of these issues and we encourage those to show their support. FSL strives to build an accepting environment with continuous education where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves!

It’s March AND March 8th specifically!! That means it’s Women’s History Month AND International Women’s Day! This month and day we are acknowledging all of the work women have done throughout history and the work they will continue to do. Women fought hard for their place in society today as equals, and while there is still a way to go before true equality and equity, we will be here supporting women in any way we can. We will continue to make safe spaces and honor the women in our lives. Are there any women you look up to/would like to honor? Comment below with their name!
