April 2, 2016, students in Eng107W Introduction to Drama and Eng 453 Q***r Drama in America taught by Dr. Donald Gagnon, associate professor and co-chair of the English Department, visited the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts/Theatre on Tape and Film Archive for the screening of Richard Greenberg's 2003 play "Take Me Out."
Students in the honors class "Crossing the Danger Water" taught by Dr. Donald Gagnon, associate professor and co-chair of the English Department, recently (Friday, November 6, 2015) visited the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York. Dr. Herukhuti (in the picture on the right) spoke to the students about the Middle Passage.
Quinn Ochoa-Morales, a student in our English program, was invited to present his paper (as an undergraduate) at the Northeast Popular Culture Association Conference at Colby-Sawyer College, New Hampshire, October 30-31, 2015. He spoke on the film American Sniper (2014) and Islamaphobia was very well received.
