Wooster School Danbury, CT
An independent, co-ed college preparatory day school, serving students from grade 5 through grade 12.
Today we raise the Juneteenth flag in honor of Juneteenth National Independence Day, also known as Jubilee Day and Freedom Day. This day commemorates the ending of slavery after the Civil War, the resilience of freed and enslaved Africans and their descendants in America and their continued fight for freedom.
On June 7, the Class of 2024 graduated from Wooster School. Here is a look back at a few moments from throughout the morning.

Our Senior Independent Study (SIS) program, a seniors' capstone experience, concluded today for the Class of 2024.
S.I.S. is a foundational program in the Wooster School curriculum that is intended to be a final opportunity for the seniors to engage the world as a person of conscience, compassion, and action before graduation.
The program asks them to think about how they might go deeper into some aspect of their educational experience, reflecting and applying the skills, dispositions, and knowledge they have been cultivating throughout their life.
Seniors presented their concluding work to parents, faculty, and the student body during a morning symposium. From there, they moved to different locations on campus for presentations where they shared a narrative of the experience and its implications in their lives.
