We are sending our deepest condolences for the loss of the Honorable Marcia Cooke. She was Florida’s first black female federal judge and served for 18 years.

Introducing the Judge Kal Le Var Evans Chapter of the Black Law Student Association 2022-2023 Executive Board!!!!

SRBLSA is hosting an annual, virtual pro-bono clinic on June 19, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm est. The purpose of the clinic is to provide the community with an opportunity to ask legal questions. Our goal is to gather attorneys from many practice areas to provide attendees with a wide range of access to answers and/or clarifications that without this clinic, may go unanswered. Additionally, since Juneteenth falls on Father's Day this year, we especially want to celebrate dads. To do so, we've put together a legitimation clinic in partnership with Atlanta Legal Aid and Fathers Incorporated. This clinic will give fathers a presentation on how to begin and navigate the legitimation process to receive those parental rights.

SRBLSA is recognizing all Class of 2022 grads this Thursday at 630pm. We have a whole event planned for you! Encouraging words from James Woodall, Public Policy Associate at the Southern Center and former President of NAACP in GA. Harmonious Vocals from Coco Bai'. And a special tribute to all those in the region who are graduating and have provided us their info. Its not too late to be recognized.
