They gave me the green light...
It was my first solo listing and my nerves were sky high.
Someone had placed their trust in me and it was time to deliver - “Could I actually pull this off?!” was the question that rang in my head.
Here’s how it went…
How it started:
I had just received my license- and I remember brain storming with Tyler on how to get the word out to everyone. That evening we created the hashtag, we bought the SOLDwithSlone.com domain, but how else?! 🤔
I then got the idea to create a postcard to go out to EVERYONE I knew! The card was a picture of my Braxton who was 2 at the time making a very surprised face with the headline “Did you hear? My mom is a Realtor now?!” Along with my contact information!
About a week later I got a call from my great uncle and aunt who I hadn’t seen in years, they had a listing that had been on the market for 6 months with another agent and hadn’t sold. Their contract was up- and they wanted to start fresh with me! ☺️🙌
Landing the listing was step one. There was SO much I learned on that first home. From how far good pictures can attract buyers to a listing, how much social media would impact my business and support my business, how to navigate multiple offers, and work as a dual agent! 🥂🏡
Since that first listing:
I’ve had the privilege of representing hundreds in the sale of their most prized possession. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust my clients have placed in me and every lesson this career has taught me along the way. ☺️

Let’s look at a client with a 30-year mortgage of $400,000 at a 6% interest rate. Without extra payments, the total interest paid over the loan term is approximately $463,353
With ONE extra payment of $2,400 each year ($200/mo) the interest drops to $368,734, and the loan would be paid off 5 years earlier than the original term.
And the savings hitting their pocket? $94,619 over the life of the loan 😲
