Mike has truly showed great resilience in helping lead the finish of a tough project! He took over when the foreman had to help start a hotel project and crushed it. He helped the team bounce back and kept morale high while dealing with a lot of issues on the job. He worked all the hours needed to meet deadlines to enable us to successfully close out the job.

Justin has crushed it with teamwork and supporting his colleagues. He has been running a crew at the largest remodel project in company history and has done an excellent job training/developing the newer employees. Tyler is a Controller in our Finance Department. He obtained his Bachelor’s in Accounting & Finance from the University of Toledo in 2017. He came to us with just over 6 years of experience in Audit, Tax, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Full Cycle Accounting.

Tyler shared that his favorite part of Reliable so far is the “family feel” to the company and the people he has been working with. Outside of the office, he enjoys golfing, hunting, hockey, and going on family walks!

🌞 Reliable Electric's Family Day at Armco Park! 🌞

This past Saturday, Reliable Electric had a fantastic time at Armco Park! There was lots of good food, refreshing drinks, and fun activities for everyone. The weather was perfect, making the day even more enjoyable.

It was wonderful to spend quality time together outside of the office. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the day special. We can't wait for the next one!

On June 14th, we had the honor of watching our owner, Joe Ryan, throw out the first pitch at the Dayton Dragons baseball game!

Each year, Major League Baseball honors the legacy of Lou Gehrig by raising awareness of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). This was a day to join together in support of those living with ALS and their families. Joe was diagnosed with ALS in January, 2023, and is an example to each of us how to live with joy and gratitude regardless of your circumstances.

We are proud of Joe, his wife Leslie, his children, and the supportive community around him. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend this amazing event!

What is your favorite part about your job?
“My favorite part about my job is reading blueprints, creating plans of action, and working with my hands to make them come to life!”

What has been your favorite memory over the last 5 years?
“I made a lot of good memories working at the Dayton Arcade. Some memories that really stand out from the past 5 years was doing electrical work with Joe, Leslie, and my co-workers at a charity event. And of course, finishing the IEC program was also a great memory.”

What has been your biggest lesson learned in the last 5 years?
“The biggest lesson I have learned in the past 5 years is that God will give you enough grace for today. He will hold you up. He will meet all your needs. And when tomorrow comes, he will do it all again.”

Ethan is a Foreman in our Commercial Construction department. After 10 years, we asked him a few questions about his time here at Reliable so far!

What is your favorite part about your job?
“The best part about my job is watching nothing turn into something. Whether it’s new people learning to become electricians or holes in the ground being built into a new business. There’s an awesome satisfaction when you start a project and get to see the end result!”

What has been your favorite memory over the last 10 years?
“My favorite memory at Reliable was the project Ritz Safety. There were a lot of different and unique tasks that we had to do. The crew that was out there absolutely killed it. We got to work on things that we don’t normally do, like hang the signage up on the building.”

What has been your biggest lesson learned in the last 10 years?
“The biggest lesson I feel that I have learned is to be more patient, not only with people at work but at home to. Having kids I think is the biggest reason for this.”

Last Friday, Reliable Electric hosted our much-anticipated Spring Cookout at the Shop!

The event was filled with delicious food, great conversations and all the kids had a blast! The weather couldn't have been better!

A big highlight of the night was our 50/50 raffle! Half of the amount raised would go to a lucky winner, and the other half would go to ALS United Ohio for our upcoming ALS walk in September, in honor of our owner, Joe Ryan. In an unexpected turn of events, Joe & Leslie Ryan's ticket was randomly chosen as the winner. They decided to donate 100% of the winnings to the ALS United Ohio Foundation!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special. We can’t wait for our next company event!
