Theta Phi is so incredibly proud to announce our first annual corn hole competition coming to campus this October. The proceeds raised from this competition will directly support one of our local philanthropies, The Under the Stars Mission.
The Under the Stars Mission is a philanthropy Theta Phi holds close to our heart as during our time working with them we have formed a deep connection to their mission. They provide meals and necessities to the homeless and less fortunate families to the New Smyrna Beach and greater Volusia county areas.
Unlike previous greek life competitions, anyone on campus is eligible to participate whether you are in greek life or not! Food and drinks will be provided throughout the competition and we look forward to hosting everyone to enjoy corn hole and support an amazing cause!
Links to sign up and to read the informational packet can be found in our bio!
We look forward to seeing you this October!

As we head into a new school year it’s nice to look back on the memories we’ve made on the way.
Take a look at where Theta Phi has been throughout the years. As the first sorority on campus, we have made plenty of wonderful memories and friends through the past nearly 40 years we’ve been at .

Here’s some stories from our members on why they decided to join Theta Phi:
—
I couldn’t ever see myself being involved in Greek life originally, but when you find your people, you find your people. And Theta Phi Alpha’s are my people. It isn’t always perfect, but it is worth it to me.
—
Joining Theta Phi Alpha was one of the best choices I made for school. As a transfer student, I was initially intimidated, but Greek life, with its strong sense of community and belonging, caught my eye. Theta Phi Alpha welcomed me right away, making me feel at home. The focus on personal growth, leadership, academics, and community service resonated with me. My Panhellenic membership has profoundly impacted my college experience, offering a vibrant community and fun bonding activities like Christmas craft night.
This sense of belonging has made my college journey more fulfilling, providing a unique support system and a safety blanket. Additionally, Panhellenic has played a pivotal role in my personal leadership development, allowing me to assume significant roles within my chapter, boosting my self-confidence and preparing me for future challenges.
—
I walked into primary recruitment, frankly, because my mom told me I should. I didn’t really know what I wanted out of greek life and I spent the first two days just coasting through it without any purpose. On the third day I got paired with a sibling of Theta Phi who made me feel at home and comfortable, we just sat there and talked for the hour like we had known each other for years and I decided that is what I wanted out of greek life, the friends you can always talk to and always fall back on.

Personalizing your dorm is more than just decorating—it’s about making college life feel like home from day one! Here are some tips from Theta Phi siblings to help you transform your dorm into a cozy, welcoming space. From adding personal touches to creating a functional study area, these small changes can greatly improve your adjustment to college life and support your mental health when things get hectic.

This week, hear from Zoe, Mariana, and Avery and their FDOC experiences before and after joining Theta Phi!
—
“When I first got to Riddle, I was overwhelmed with trying to make new friends and connect with people. However, after primary recruitment, I had a whole new group of people who wanted to get to know me as well as the friends I made going through the recruitment process in this chapter and in others.”
-Zoe
-
“My FDOC before I was a collegian was a little scary because I transferred to Riddle. As the day went on, all of the people in my major were close to each other and had each other to look forward to seeing. Now as a collegian, I not only get to look forward to seeing my Theta Phi siblings but also the FSL community as a whole.”
-Mariana
-
“My first day of school (way back when) I was intimidated by everyone else who had already made friends during the summer and O-week and I honestly struggled to find a solid group I could fall back on. Now that I am in the Greek life community, I know I get to see all my best friends at least once a week in chapter, which helps me maintain friendships when I don’t live near my siblings anymore. This inspires me to have more spontaneity when making plans, such as IHOP runs after a particularly long chapter! As someone who has been insecure about keeping friends her whole life, I am finally able to take a deep breath and know that I have found my for-lifers.”
-Avery
