Because patients in transition should not have to wait, VITAS maintains its own home medical equipment (HME), delivery and staff. Your HME technician is part of your hospice team and understands patient and familyβs needs. Our VITAS team recently had the privilege of co-hosting Camp BEAR HUG π§Έ in Maitland, Florida, as a safe haven for children navigating through grief.
At Camp BEAR HUG, they get to spend time with other children their own age who have experienced a similar loss. This way, they can feel safe to openly express their feelings and support each other.ππΌ
