Five Fast Facts
1. The census is the US government’s largest peacetime operation.
2. The first US census was in 1790.
3. The Census is mandated by the US constitution.
4. Everyone is asked the same questions
5. US census records can't be released to the public for 72 years.
Be on the look out! MARTA buses have rolled out encouraging residents to take part in the 2020 Census.
We have a tabling event happening this Saturday, February 1, at local Recreation Centers, to talk with parents about the 2020 census.

The DeKalb County Complete Count Committee is committed to ensuring a complete and accurate Census count. The data is collected will, in turn, provide information critical for decision making with regard to government programs and policies.

In Georgia, an accurate count in the Census will help make sure our communities receive the funding and resources needed to improve transportation, to serve veterans, and to provide children with access to better opportunities and education.
The US census is used to collect information about the population of the U.S. This information is used to get a broader sense of the population and used to calculate the number of seats that each state will have in the U.S. House.
