Under the leadership of Sister Winovia Lewis the Hospitality Department received a $10,000 grant to expand their ministries in the community by offering the underserved, elderly, sick and shut-in hot meals. Also, the Youth Department under the direction of Brother Tyler John received a $5,300 grant to start a youth tutoring program. Both grants were awarded through a partnership with Versacare, an independent foundation committed to furthering the Kingdom of God and restoring the "image of God" to those in need. New Gainesville SDA church seeks to bring people ‘Towards Christ’, by ministering to their needs, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and our distinct message! We thank God for blessing us with an opportunity to further His ministry in the Gainesville community and surrounding areas.
Atlanta Maranatha SDA Church hosted Morning Glory’s annual International Day of Prayer. This year’s theme was “Ignite your Prayer Life with Passionate Prayers.” It was a weekend event filled with song, praise, testimony, and prayer. The weekend started with Friday vesper on Zoom with Elder Davidlyn Strong. Then, Sabbath service at Atlanta Maranatha SDA Church with a special presentation by Choice Drama Ministry. The guest speaker for divine worship was Brenda Walsh, a renowned inspirational speaker and worldwide devotional writer. A Sabbath afternoon Lunch n Learn “What is a Passionate Prayer?” facilitated by Dr. Edna Rose. Then, climaxing on Sunday with a prayer breakfast at Atlanta Boulevard SDA Church with Dr. Shonda Shaw. There were guest singers, creative dancers, and a Morning Glory mass choir led by LoLo Harris and Theresa Morton. Each service was filled with praise, worship, and thanksgiving.
Morning Glory is a prayer conference call that has been supported by donors for over 12 years. It was started under the vision of the Women's Ministry Leader of the South Atlantic Conference and has now expanded to include several conferences and denominations. Every morning, people from all over the United States join in for prayer.
With Jance M. Carter at the helm, their goal is to spread the message of Jesus daily through the power of prayer and the Living Word. They aim to reach all denominations and bring people to God's Kingdom through their ministry.
The mission of Morning Glory is to be a beacon in the night, reflecting God’s Spirit, Holy and Bright, before the dawn’s early light through prayer, praise, testimony, and song as His children connect by way of phone, bringing people of the worldwide community together in unity to uplift, encourage, enrich and enlighten as our spiritual growth heightens.
Hundreds call-in every morning, Sunday-Friday at 5:00 AM and Sabbath Praise at 6:00 AM. Through Morning Glory’s ministry, Bible studies have been completed, and Souls have been baptized.
Nathanael Gracia, the Family Ministry Director for the South Atlantic Conference, led a transformative initiative aimed at empowering families in the metro Atlanta area. The Family Redemption Plan Outreach Program, held from March 10 to March 31 at the West End SDA Church, blended family education with the preaching of the gospel to effectuate positive change within the community.
The family Redemption Plan Outreach Program is a comprehensive program that equipped over 100 families with essential tools and knowledge vital for fostering healthy familial relationships. Through a series of workshops, seminars, sermons, and activities, attendees were immersed in teachings addressing critical aspects of family life, including effective communication, parenting skills, mental health awareness, and children's development.
The outreach program went beyond imparting knowledge; it extended a helping hand to those in need. Over 85 families benefited from the distribution of diapers, a gesture that underscored the program's commitment to addressing tangible needs within the community. Furthermore, the spiritual impact of the initiative was profound, with numerous souls finding redemption and over 30 individuals were baptized into the faith
Students from across our conference gathered to showcase their skills, creativity, and intellect at the recent Festival Expo held on March 17, 2024, at the River Oaks Campground in Orangeburg, SC. Mrs. Gaiter and her team coordinated this event which was a testament to the vibrancy and diversity of talent within our school community. From spellbinding spelling bees to awe-inspiring art exhibitions, exhilarating science and robotics competitions, to captivating oratorical contests, the Festival Expo celebrated academic excellence and creative expression.
If you are in the area please support on of our church's evangelistic efforts as we strive to bring more people into the body of Christ!
Senior Ministries Day at Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church
Sabbath April 20th marked Senior Ministries Day at Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist Church in Augusta GA. It was a day bringing together seniors of all ages from the church and community. Invited guest speaker Dr. Ralph Peay, Director Senior Ministries, South Atlantic Conference shared a timely message ‘There is No One Like God’ based on Isaiah 46:1-4; anything that takes the place of God in our lives is an Idol and becomes a burden instead of a blessing when God is our focus. A highlight of the morning service was a community service award given to Mrs. Lt. Col. JoyAnne Johnson Holloway an educator working in the local school system whose husband, Mr. Lorenzo Holloway III is a son of an Tuskegee Airman, Lorenzo Holloway. In the afternoon Dr. Peay hosted a workshop ‘Scams and Seniors’ sharing insights into strategies seniors need to know to avoid becoming a scamming victim of strangers or in a growing number of cases friends or family members. The day ended with and old time Adventist Youth Ministry (AYM) program hosted by Gary and Felicia King, joint senior ministry leaders at Ebenezer.

On March 2, 2024, the Door Of Hope Seventh-day Adventist Church, in Pageland, South Carolina begun our spring revival with the theme of March Gladness: Having Joy through our trials, with guest speaker Ayanna Albertson-Gay, a world-renowned spoken word artist and musician. Additionally, the leaders and the members of the Door of Hope SDA Church were prepared for one baptism. What wasn't known was that another individual would decide also to be baptized. Jackie Bennett and Crystal Richard were baptized and began their new journey with Christ. The church has a goal of 30 baptisms within 2024. We have 28 more precious souls to go. Praise the Lord!
At Spartanburg-Shiloh SDA, on Sabbath March 9 three (3) individuals were baptized and one person joined through profession of faith, and another person transferred-in.
March 9 was "Decision Sabbath"; and Decision Sabbath takes place once a quarter in order to welcome members into church membership after personal or group Bible study.
"At New Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church, we joyfully welcomed two new members into our family through baptism. Our pastor, Damian Grant, led the ceremony, and the congregation embraced them warmly. We believe in sharing God's love with our community, and it's a true blessing to see more souls joining our family. These new members are just the beginning of our efforts to spread the message of God's love, and we look forward to welcoming many more into our fold in the future." - Aslean Janelle Florence
