Congratulations are in order for our very own Zenina Freeman!!! Zenina was once a member of InStep Ministry and returned to give of her time and talents as an instructor. We’re sharing a few pictures of Zenina as a member of the InStep Ladies and as an instructor of our InStep Jewels.

Zenina has earned her college degree. As her cap states “God is within her, she will not fail”! We are so very proud of you Zenina and thank you for being an example to our youth.

The InStep Leadership Team presented InStep Ladies senior, Maya Owens, with her gifts! She was pleasantly surprised and really appreciative. We will miss Maya but she did agree to come back to volunteer when she can. A special thank you to Maya’s mom, Ms. Maggie, for allowing us to come to their home.

Each year we like to recognize InStep Members that will be graduating. This year is no different! However, this year there is only ONE person representing the Class of 2021… Maya Owens 🎉

Maya has been with the InStep Ministry for the past 6 years. She sowed her seed into good ground as a member of the Jewels and continued to step up as a member of the InStep Ladies. During her tenure she has displayed what it means to be a LIGHT and has allowed the Lord to use her gifts as she has ministered through step. There is no doubt that Maya has what it takes to be a GREAT leader and for that she is named the 2020-2021 Captain of the InStep Ladies.

Maya will be amongst the graduating Class of 2021 from Heritage High School. Not only is she active in the church, she is also active at school and in her community. Maya has run track, played two years of flag football, played tennis for four years and cheered for four years all while maintaining her academics.

On behalf of the InStep Ministry Leadership Team, join us in celebrating OUR graduating senior, Maya Owens!!! We love you Maya ❤️

Greetings all Instep Ministry Steppers! Today is the last Friday of the month! Do you know what this means? It is normally the day of our annual Step Extravaganza!

Unfortunately due to the pandemic, our step season could not take place. Over the years we would come together on Saturdays, to learn scripture and learn steps in order to put a show together that would minister to others. Even though we are not ministering together tonight, The Instep Ministry Leadership Team is confident that each of you are still ministering by sowing seeds and allowing your lights to shine so that others may see the God in you.

Please continue to focus on our scripture from our previous Instep Extravaganza which was Romans 8:17-18. It states, “And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we must also share his suffering. Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.” Remember that even in these challenging times (not being able to fellowship or visit your family and friends, virtual learning,...) that you are still truly heirs of God’s Kingdom and that you are still ROYALTY! So continue to STEP UP and STAND OUT for Jesus!
