Our primary playground is open and we have some VERY excited Jaguars!

1st grade is learning all about our community so they got a special visit today from a few of our local firefighters. Thank you DeKalb Illinois Fire Department!

Someone had a front row seat for some live Ozinga concrete action today at recess!

Next week in PE-Razor Scooters for Grades 3-5! If you have a helmet, please bring it. We have some to provide, but having your own is way better! Grades K-2 will razor scooter in the Spring! Thank you!

Construction has officially begun on our primary playground.

We are SO excited to see all of the new additions and can’t wait to play on them in just a few short weeks!

In the meantime we do ask that when you pick your students up, if they want to play, you use our other playground.

P.S. some of our jaguars were very concerned about our turtle Mr. Potato, but the workers are taking very good care of him for us.

Fun fact: Did you know a family of Jaguars is called a prowl?

Jefferson is so excited to try something new this year called Jaguar Prowls! 🐾
Our goal is for our Jaguars to make new friends and have more connections with staff.

We all met with our prowls today where we came up with names, decorated team flags (which will be showcased at Multicultural Night!), created secret handshakes and got to know each other.

We kicked off our first Fun Friday with “Music TIES us together”👔

Some of our kids took advantage of the beautiful weather this week with a little nature scavenger hunt!

Our kindergartners had their first day of school today and we can already tell they’re enjoying being part of our Jaguar family 🐾

Jefferson students learned all about how a Jaguar ROARS all over the building by being Respectful, giving Outstanding effort, Always being kind, Responsible, and Safe in all settings.

We started our first day of school off with an all school assembly. We don’t know who was more excited to be back- the staff or the students!?!
