At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony, the Ohio Buckeye Boys State flag remains on the stage as we bid you, the Buckeye Boys State class of 2024, farewell and safe travels.

We are reminded that this is the last time we will all be gathered together- the last time this exact group of gentlemen will cheer, laugh, sweat, and sing together.

On behalf of the entire staff, we offer congratulations to our new alumni, who join the over 90,000 Buckeye Boys State alumni since the program’s founding in 1936. Go forth, tell your friends and family about this program, and thank the Legion post that sponsored you.

Help us spread the word for the 2025 program by speaking to your underclassmen and by having them follow us here and on Twitter and Instagram . If you know someone who will be a rising senior next summer who would be interested in joining us for next year’s program, please have them contact Christie White at [email protected]

To the future ALBBS class of 2025, we will see you in 357 days on June 8, 2025 for the 86th Session. But who’s counting?

We truly hope that this has been .

P.S. Don’t forget to wish your dads a very Happy Father’s Day!

that nearly a quarter of the West Point Class of 2027 attended Boys or Girls State? As we bid farewell to the Buckeye Boys State Class of 2024, we also know that we are bidding the next generation of leaders, midshipmen, and cadets fair winds and following seas.

As the final evening assembly draws to a close, we express our appreciation for the out-going President of the Buckeye Boys State Board of Trustees, Melissa K. Fowle, whose unfailing passion for the delegates of the program has been a standard of leadership for the last 17 years. At the conclusion of tomorrow's graduation, President Fowle will hand her gavel to the incoming President, Past Commander of the American Legion Department of Ohio, and current National Executive Committeeman, Steve Masowick.

This evening, in observance of Flag Day, Legionnaires led delegates through the Ceremony for Disposal of Unserviceable Flags after the evening assembly. This ritual, adopted by The American Legion in 1937, encourages proper respect for the American flag while providing for an honorable retirement of faded and worn flags.

All across Boys State, every single level of government is fully operational.

➡️ Cities like Jordan City are building skyscrapers and blimps
➡️ Commissioners in White County are seeking opportunities to decrease construction costs
➡️ In the Secretary of State's office, they're meeting with counterparts in the Ohio SOS
➡️ And in the Courts, I'm told that several very interesting cases are brewing around speeding tickets
