Women's City Club of Delaware
Providing secure, stable living quarters for women of modest income in Delaware County.
This is a volunteer organization open to women in our community who would like to make a difference.
Mother's Day is coming up soon. And this Sunday is the last chance before the holiday to buy your Mom a gift at Honey & Abernathy and help the WCC at the same time. Honey & Abernathy has agreed to give the WCC 25% of the profit on house-made items this Sunday (and last). No special coupons are necessary. But it's this Sunday only so make sure to shop then. If you can't make it to the store, you can purchase online Sunday and pick it up later or have your items shipped to you. Just make sure to do it Sunday on house-made items. And the store is mostly full of house-made items so that's pretty easy. All of the information you need is in the QR code.
Thank you Honey & Abernathy for partnering with the WCC for two consecutive Sundays to help provide housing for the low-income women who depend on the WCC. We appreciate it.
Mother's Day is coming up soon. And if you are looking for the perfect gift for Mom and would like to help the WCC at the same time, go to Honey & Abernathy TODAY (Sunday April 28) or next Sunday (May 5). Honey & Abernathy has generously agreed to donate 25% of the profits on house-made items on those two days to the WCC. If you haven't tried the house-made products, you are missing something. Wonderful lotions... sumptuous candles....great lip balm...and so much more. It's the perfect gift for Mom and a way to show your support for the WCC. No coupon is necessary and other coupons will be honored but the profit calculated will be on the amount after all discounts.
SOLD OUT! Thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets for the bourbon event at the Women's City Club of Delaware. Your support for our important mission is greatly appreciated. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 25 at the Women's City Club of Delaware.
In case you missed our post! Join us at the house on 4/25 and Sip for a cause!! 🥃 ALL proceeds support the mission of the Women's City Club of Delaware, providing affordable housing for women in transition. There are VERY few, if any, safe choices for ladies who need a place to live while they get back on their feet. We’ve been at this for nearly 60 years, and need your help to be able to keep our beautiful Victorian home together. Room (we have 10) rents are very modest, and generally cover the cost of utilities. Anything over that (roof, yard, plumbing, general repairs and more… it’s an old home…) needs to be raised by our WCC volunteers. We don’t get funding from the government or other entities, and rely on you, our community to help us keep the doors open. SO! We do fun events like this so that you can see the house, have an enjoyable evening, and learn from the inimitable Mr. Koci!
Get your tickets now before they sell out! WCC will provide food pairings suggested by Genti Koci from OPA Grill and Tavern to go along with his bourbon picks.
Tickets available at www.wccdelaware.org
Thank you, and see you there - please share!
Buy your tickets online now at wccdelaware.org. All tickets are online and pre-sale (no sales at the door). There is a limited number of tickets available and when they are gone, they're gone. So don't wait until the last minute because you will likely get closed out of this opportunity.
Here's another way you can help the Women's City Club of Delaware while getting a good deal for yourself. You will get a one-year membership for $25 and you also get a $10 coupon that you can use during the 60 day after each store opens. The Easton store is open now and the Lewis Center store will be opening by the middle of December. And when you follow the instructions below by calling to enroll with our code, we get $10 back. Please consider helping the WCC in this way.

WCC Supporters - We need help!
The Women's City Club of Delaware desperately needs a few volunteers to step up to help us next week during the Delaware County Fair. We need two people who can work Wednesday Sept. 20) from 3:30 until the end of the Jugette race. And on Brown Jug Day (Thursday, Sept 21), we need two people to work from 12:30 to 3:30 and one person to work from 3:30 until the end of the race. If you volunteer to work the race, you will get a free fair pass for the day that you can use before or after your shift. Volunteers must be 21 years old to work inside the hospitality tent. Men and women are welcome to volunteer. It's always a fun opportunity and you will be inside a tent right by the racetrack. If you can help us, please contact Berni at (614) 314-2788. If you can't help us, please feel free to pass this message along to someone who can. We thank you all for supporting our mission to provide housing to low-income women in Central Ohio.

LOOK what Distinctive Marble & Granite did for the Women's City Club of Delaware ....... stunning! Y'all need some countertops - reach out! They're fabulous! 🥰🥰
The WCC received an amazing gift from the good folks at Distinctive Marble and Granite. The company gave us two new granite countertops for the kitchen and they are simply beautiful. And they were cut and installed by Matt N, Devin and Camden – all of whom were exceptional, polite and hard working. Thanks so much Distinctive and your fabulous crew. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Also big thanks to Kathleen Horrigan of Change my Place. She has dedicated many hours to helping the WCC with making necessary updates that keep with the period of our beautiful victorian home. The improvements she has overseen have made a big difference in the quality of life for our residents and we cannot thank her enough for it.
The residents at the Women's City Club are in desperate need of some specific items - paper towels, toilet paper and real metal (not plastic disposable) forks, spoons and knives. If you are willing to donate these items, please drop them off on the covered back porch of our home at 135 N. Franklin Street, Delaware, Ohio. We would appreciate your generosity.
Want to rent a festive space to entertain friends and family during the holidays? Please consider the Womens City Club of Delaware. We have full kitchen facilities and party suppllies available. And every time you rent, 100% of your rental fee goes to help house low-income women we house and support. For more information, go to our website at Wccdelaware.org

Also thanks to COHatch Delaware and Opa! for their support. We know our honoree today, the late Linda Boggioni, was with us. And we were thrilled her family was able to join us.
