Angelic Adventures 🌞: New Angel places 3rd in the Nation 🩰

Mia Cristo ‘30, new student and rising 7th grader, traveled to Philadelphia, PA at the end of July for the 2024 Rince Tuatha Nua Irish Dance Nationals. Mia achieved 3rd Place in the nation for age 12 Novice division - and 2 of her ceili (figure dance) teams got the gold!

Angelic Adventures 🌞: Mrs. Wolman spent a beautiful summer with family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🤍

Angel Adventures 🌞: Kaitlyn Zheng ‘26 at the Junior Gold Championships 🎳

“The Junior Gold Championships in Detroit was an amazing 9-day experience. I competed and learned from some of the best bowlers in the nation, both on and off the lanes. It was also an honor to meet so many famous pro players in the field! I got to challenge myself and test my limits while having fun. I am excited to announce that I have already qualified for Junior Gold 2025 in Green Bay, Wisconsin early this August. Looking forward to another successful National Junior Gold Championships next year after a successful high school season once again! Go Angels!”

Angel Adventures 🌞: Math, Flowers, and Sunny Beaches for Mrs. Portuesi 🌻

Mrs. Portuesi spent the first half of summer teaching our summer Algebra I class for incoming freshman. Once class was over she spent the rest of the summer on adventures with her family. Her family tradition of making a family trip to the sunflower field. Followed by two visits down the shore to Cape May and Brigantine beaches. ⛱️

Angelic Adventures 🌞: Lara Bivetto '30 went on a multi-state US Road Trip 🌎🚘

She saw the United States on a road trip through Illinois, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. She also went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in July with Charlotte Saglimbene '30. Lara has now visited 22 states! 🇺🇸

Angelic Adventures 🌞: Leyla Ziemba '26 spent some time volunteering at the Special Olympics Camp 🥏

"I spent last week in Western PA volunteering with the Special Olympics of PA Sports Camp. We worked with the athletes and help them prep for their official competitions. It was the most impactful week of my summer!"

Ms. Hammond visited friends and family across 4 countries in Europe. She took a pizza making class and even went to see the ancient ruins in Pompeii! 🇫🇷🇪🇸🇨🇭🇮🇹

“I visited my best friend from college who moved to London a few years ago. We spent lots of time in Regent’s Park taking walks with her newborn son and bulldog, ate amazing food, stopped by Buckingham Palace, and even experienced High Tea at Fortnum & Mason!” 🫖💙

Angelic Adventures 🌞: Camila Martinez ‘29 at the 2024 Olympics 🇫🇷

Rising 8th grader, Camila, and her family went to Paris to go and cheer on Team USA at the Olympics! They also were able to experience the beauty of several of Paris’ monuments like the ‘Tour Eiffel’ 🇺🇸

Ms. Hackett visited her family, tended to their farm, went to see the horse races, and spent her time basking in the beautiful fields of Ireland. She also spent time sharing her love for Ireland with her niece 🍀

“She had an amazing time at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center where she was placed in an auditioned based master voice class and where she was able to do a lot of character work as Mrs. Brill. In her role, she provided a lot of comic relief in Mary Poppins the Musical.” 🎶

Angelic Adventures 🌞: Brenna Kim ‘29 was in Seoul, South Korea immersing herself in her rich ancestry 🇰🇷

“I was learning history on my ancestors in Gyeongju (경주). Gyeongju is a city more south of Seoul and it was the capital of the time period of the Shilla Dynasty. I got to learn about the old kings, queens, and the religions of the Koreans back then.”
