O'Brien Bros Baking
We are two actual brothers baking delicious breads, cookies and other baked goods.
What do y’all put on your english muffins? They don’t only have to be for breakfast ya know!
OH-KAYYY. Just an announcement of what to expect for the coming markets in July and August: Sometimes we will have breakfast sandwiches and sometimes we won’t. It depends on the weather. So like this weekend, when the sun touches down after it’s long journey here, I will not be standing over a 400+ degree griddle and make sandwiches under a tent. But I will have bread and other treats and maybe a few little extra things to snack on. It will be safe to assume that if it’s triple digits on Saturday, probably won’t be any sandos. will have our breakfast sandwiches if’n ya need or want one. I’ll be posting during the days leading up if we will have them at the market. It might be a good time to turn on post notifications, only if you want. But for this weekend 7/9, no sandwiches only bread. Please come by the and support us and the other artisans and makers. Also take care of yourself and drink lots of water. Your p*e should be clear, okay that’s all bye-bye bye-bye.
HEY GANG!
LOCATION CHANGE FOR THIS WEEKEND THE 23RD.
We are going to be at the Mother Earth Market this Saturday the 23rd! It’s at Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Cordell street.
Huge thank you to .aprons who came out and made us look good. If you work in kitchens and need an apron that holds up to the abuse and still looks cool and classy then I highly recommend getting one.
We will be at the wonderful this Saturday morning, April 2nd. We will have breakfast sandwiches and some other goodies as well. We are changing our menu this year to try out new stuff, new sandwiches, new flavors, etc. It will be a fun and busy season. I hope everyone has a great day. Thanks for the picture idea and subtle reminder that I didn’t post this earlier❤️.

Pizza number 3 is a roasted mushroom and fennel pie with a rosemary ricotta cream, Sunday sauce, parm and fennel fronds for color. Pizza number 4 is a veggie pie, roasted broccolini, red onions, hot honey, mozz and Aleppo pepper. Come one come all!

Tomorrow we’re celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at ! We grew up in the border town of El Paso, TX, where Mexican food and culture were a huge part of our upbringing. One of our favorite Mexican sweets is the “concha,” which means “shell.” We’re celebrating this sweet colorful bun by making them for the market tomorrow. Please come eat them, I worked very hard and have a lot.
We love market days!

Governor Abbot has made an announcement to stop outdoor gatherings of over 100 people. Although city and county regulations have not announced whether they will uphold this recommendation, we cannot take the risk that the will be forced to close and must cut baking short for this weekend. We also want to make sure that we keep ourselves and our customers safe during this time.
That said - we do have a quite a few loaves in motion already. If you would like fresh sourdough (white or polenta), challah, or English muffins, we can deliver porchside locally or arrange local pickup. Just send us a DM!

Please support your local restaurants. Save the people that make incredible food and experiences available to everyone. I have met the most kind-hearted and talented people during my years in the industry. So please, if you can, donate to the causes below or buy some take out from your spot tonight. I know we are!
Save the restaurants! Be safe!
We are pausing pop-up events for the time being to do our part in protecting the health of our community. But don’t worry, we’ll be back and better than ever when this is over. We’re using this downtime to experiment and perfect our recipes and techniques and can’t wait to show you what we’re working on!

We quickly sold out of all our extras but if you reserved a loaf we’re holding it for you! Thanks for coming out - we’ll try to do this again as long as we can secure ingredients!
This is sprouted amaranth sourdough inspired by Tartine Bakery. It’s something we’re trying out and it will be an option at our pop-up at Armadillo Ale Works Saturday morning. It’s got a nice earthy taste and is super moist.
If you’re out of a job because of COVID-19, come pick up a loaf on us. If you have a job but couldn’t find bread at the grocery store because the crazy food hoarders got to it first, come pay grocery store prices for our artisan bread. Name your price - we just want to ease your burden while the world goes nuts around us.
We know it's crazy out there and the grocery stores are running out of essentials. We want to help out as best we can by having sourdough for pick up on Saturday. We know that a lot of you guys, especially those in the service industry, aren’t getting your regular paychecks so we’re letting you name your price. Even if you don’t have money, we’ll make sure you get some food. We will be at the parking lot on Saturday with wipes and gloves to keep you safe, and rest assured we are taking strong precautions in the kitchen when we bake as well.
Comment below to reserve a loaf and pay when you pick it up. Cash and card are accepted. We’ll bring a few extra loaves with us but your best chance is to claim your loaf in the comments or send a DM.
