This is the official page of the University of North Texas Study Abroad Office.
The Study Abroad Office (SAO) coordinates affiliate, exchange and faculty led programs for UNT students in collaboration with UNT's Colleges and Schools. SAO works to create programs that inspire global citizenship, enhance curriculum, and support the academic and personal goals of students from all majors and backgrounds.

Study Abroad in Spain this summer with Art Historian Mónica Salazar!
Visit Bilbao and Madrid to study postmodernism with day trips to San Sebastian, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Guernica plus four days in Madrid. The trip includes visits to workshops/studios, historical buildings, and amazing museums. In Madrid, you will have guided tours to the Royal Palace of Madrid, the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.

Meet our Ambassador, Rebeccah Scheffer!
She is a Integrative Studies major who traveled to Grantham, UK on a UNT faculty led program for a month to study Multicultural Psychology & Criminal Justice at Harlaxton College.
Harlaxton was originally a manor that was built by Gregory Gregory and was then passed through a few hands before being donated by William Ridgeway to the University of Evansville in Indiana. With this partnership with Evansville, the manor welcomes new students from all over the US every semester and offers a range of different classes.

Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) provides scholarships and ongoing support to students who are underrepresented among the U.S. study abroad population.
FEA makes life-changing, international experiences accessible to all by supporting students of color, community college, and first-generation college students before, during, and after they participate in education abroad programs.
In preparation for the deadline (September 15th, 2022), the study abroad office will be holding several workshops for students interested in applying for this scholarship. Come join us to learn more about how to create an application that stands out!

The Council program offers unique, real-world experiences to start their . Interns are a key support system for the work of the Council, offering critical skills and fresh perspectives.
