The need for foster homes is significant and ongoing. As of May 2024, Colorado has 3,448 children and youth living with 2,471 certified kinship and foster families, yet there are still 4,351 children in care. On average, 10 children enter foster care each day, with placements especially scarce for teens and siblings.

Last week was electrifying at Mount Saint Vincent! Encore Electric brought the energy with a hands-on Mobile Escape Room, challenging our students to wire up outlets, switches, and lights while racing against the clock.💡 Their creativity didn’t stop there—students also got to light up their imaginations with custom electroluminescent wire sculptures. From flamingos to flowers, their designs truly shined! 🌟🔧

What a splash-tastic day we had at our luau pool party with students from our Pediatric Behavioral Healthcare's Day Treatment and Education program! The sun was shining, and so were the big smiles, belly flops, and beach ball games. A huge thank you to the amazing Kroenke Sports Charities staff for joining us in the pool and making the day unforgettable. 🌟

Mount Saint Vincent Pediatric Behavioral Health's Outpatient Therapy program offers individualized therapeutic services for children and adolescents ages 2-18 years, along with their families. Our highly trained therapists use various modalities including play therapy, CBT, and PCIT. Services are available in-office or via telehealth (when appropriate) to fit busy schedules. Together, we'll set goals, identify strategies, and establish realistic timelines.

We believe in partnering with both child and parents to ensure the best outcomes. As one parent commented on our annual patient survey, "Everyone is very friendly. They figured out a perfect time for our needs and even helped when I had questions about our insurance. Wonderful staff!"

👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ Our Kids in Construction series continues! A big shoutout to Intertek PSI for an amazing hands-on afternoon. The kids had a blast exploring:

1️⃣ PPE Station: Trying on hard hats, vests, gloves, eye protection, and masks, learning about safety on construction sites.
2️⃣ Geotechnical Station: Handling different materials like clay, soil, sand, and gravel, and experimenting with sieves to understand their differences.
3️⃣ Construction Materials Testing Station: Examining broken concrete cylinders and testing soil compaction with a t-probe.
4️⃣ Environmental Station: Discussing landfills, oil spills, and their environmental impact.
