The Mile High Rock Poster Show once again brought together an amazing group of artists to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, showcasing some of the very best gig posters you can find anywhere! That was a lot of ink on paper magic! We were delighted to co-host the event with The Rock Poster Society (TRPS) and Conscious Alliance!

Thank you to everyone who came out to support the artists, it was wonderful seeing so many shining faces!

As well, thanks to the all the volunteers who make the magic happen! Super job, people!

Don’t forget to become a member and support in their mission to help poster artists in times of need, as well as supporting in their mission to feed the hungry!

"Amit Tamang grew up in a small village in Nepal, where tradition dictated that whenever someone passed by, we would address them by acknowledging their lineage, saying, "My father, my father's father." As he delved into learning, He pursued a special path that led him to the Dalai Lama's temple in Dharamshala, Himachal, where he dedicated five years to the course.

Amit completed the five-year course at the Dalai Lama's Temple and began his professional journey as a traditional Thangka painter. Unfortunately, his teacher had to leave for America due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite this, he carried on with his work, also realizing a newfound interest in Buddhist sculpture. Inspired, he sought to learn sculpture and spent a year studying in Patan, Kathmandu. Since then, he’s been engaged in both sculpture and painting.

Growing up in a small village, his exposure to formal education was limited. However, he developed a strong passion for art and considers himself proficient, though not perfect. Life, to him, is an ongoing journey of learning art in its various forms."

TRPS' Festival of Rock Posters at the Hall of Flowers in San Francisco, CA once again brought together some of the best rock poster artists around the world for an event that can't be beat and it was our pleasure to have the whole Furthur Frames gang there to help out and dig on the scene! A big thanks to Amber, Kate, Jerhemy, Leslie, & Jon for all their help at the show! And a very special thanks to our old friends Caitlin & Chuck for minding the shop while we were out, you guys rock (and are very responsible)!

For those of you who haven't heard of TRPS, The Rock Poster Society is a non-profit artist-relief group dedicated to rock posters and the artists that make them! Celebrating its 25th year, TRPS also hosts shows in Alameda California, Atlanta Georgia, and we're proud to recently have co-hosted a show in Denver!
