Starting tonight in the Garage at Bitfactory!
Don Van Dall (American, 1930-2021) was a committed and prolific oil painter. Influenced by Figurative Expressionist painters such as Egon Schiele, Gustav Klimt, and Oscar Kokoschka, Van Dall favored large canvases with unflinching emotional interpretations of the human figure, most often the female form. Broad gestural brush strokes often framed women in extremes of emotion— laughter, anger, passion—while other canvasses were more tempered lyrical abstractions of our natural world.
Join us for a Retrospective Pop-up Exhibition of Van Dall’s mid-century modern oils, acrylics, and other works, June 7 - 9 in the Garage at Bitfactory.
