CONGRATULATIONS! To Depew Trustee Audrey Hamernik for being recognized by Legislator Frank Todaro as The Citizen of the Month earlier this afternoon at the Erie County Legislature meeting.

Mayor Kevin Peterson and Trustee Darren Ziemba were there representing the Village along with a large number of Trustee Hamernik's friends, family and colleagues.

Welcome to the staff at the newest GO Car Wash in Erie County at the corner of Transit Road and Broadway.

We will be taking Mayor Peterson's efforts to collect new, unwrapped toys for the Toys For Tots campaign on the road this Saturday December 9th, 2023 from 10AM to noon at the West End Fire Station at 2325 George Urban Blvd. His office will be assisted by the West End Auxiliary members.

Please consider stopping by with your toy donation on Saturday December 9th. You will receive a coupon for free ice skating at the Depew Ice Rink during the weekly Public Skate sessions thru March 24th, 2024.

The USMC will be stopping at Village Hall next week to collect all of the toys for the kiddos.

Beginning overnight tonight, the Village of Depew Winter Parking Ban will be in effect. ALL vehicles must be parked off of the roadway between 2am-7am daily in order to assist the DPW in plowing the roadways . This will be in effect every day until March 15, 2024.

Santa arrives in the Village of Depew on Monday November 27th around 6PM. The Depew Fire Department will be in charge of him arriving via on one of the trucks.

Remember to bring a new, unwrapped toy to support the Village's Toys For Tots effort. When you give a toy, you will receive a coupon for a Free Skate Rental and ice time at one of our Public Skate sessions through March 24th, 2024.

We are all set to host our first rental in the brand-new Fireman's Park Pavilion. We are accepting rentals now! Contact the Village Clerk / Treasurer's office or our Parks & Recreation Department for details.

Please help the Mayor's Office collect new, unwrapped toys this season so that we can help make the Holiday Season a little bit brighter for our area children.

We are participating in Toys for Tots this and will be collecting toys for this great program sponsored by the US Marine Corps Reserve.

Donation drop-off boxes are located in Depew Village Hall at 85 Manitou Street.

The Winter overnight parking ban has been postponed until December 1st! If we end up getting significant snow between now and then that requires plowing, please bring vehicles in off the street to make it easier for our DPW plows to maneuver down the roads. Please Share‼️

Please note:
Depew Village Hall will be closed Friday, November 10. We will reopen for normal business on Monday, November 13.
The Police Department will remain open during this time.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are being spent to replace sidewalks in the Gould Avenue, Olmstead Avenue and the West Dawson All-Inclusive Playground Park.

These sidewalks were located in designated-eligible areas of the Village where this type of funding can be spent.

The Mayor's Office, including the Village Board, along with the West End Hose Company Auxiliary will be collecting toys for the next 5 weeks as we are a 1st time Toys For Tots participant.

New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at Depew Village Hall at 85 Manitou Street so that we all can help make a child's Holiday Season a little more special this year. Village Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM.

We will also be collecting toys at the Village of Depew's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Monday November 27th at 6PM at the brand new Pavilion at Fireman's Park near the ice rink.

The Barnabas area of the Village continues it's neighborhood tradition of celebrating Beggars Night and the Depew West End Hose Company #6 is participating again this year handing out cider and candy.

We know that the weather will not be the greatest but the Depew Fall Festival is still on with all craft vendors situated under the canopies of the Pavilion.

Grand Opening Ceremony is at 11AM.

With a little less than a week to go until the new Pavilion at Fireman's Park opens with the first event being held there being the Village of Depew's Fall Festival on Saturday October 14h.....we wanted to share with you the progress that has taken place during the past two weeks.

Final coats of paint have been applied. Inside and outside lighting fixtures have been installed. NOCO continues work on the state-of-art geo-thermal heating & air conditioning system. The bathroom fixtures have been installed and the sink/countertops in the rental spaces have been hooked up.

The glass garage doors and the fireplaces have been installed. Our DPW team has been doing a phenomenal job creating a new driveway and parking lot, as well as preparing the grounds with grass. Our Electrical Department has been installing the fire/smoke/CO detectors along with the alarm & camera systems and the speakers. Our Parks & Recreation Department will be helping with the furnishing of the rental spaces.

Five more days of finishing work this week will see the finishing of the sidewalks from the Gazebo to the Pavilion and from the Pavilion to the Fitness Court.

The Pavilion will host this Saturday's Fall Festival. There will then be another two weeks to work out any bugs leading upto the Depew Fire Department's Trunk or Treat Halloween event on Sunday October 29th.

Come check out the Pavilion on October 14th from 11AM to 5PM. There will be rental information available at the Fall Festival as we ramp up to begin Pavilion rental dates starting the first week of November.

Don't forget that today is the 4th Tuesday of the month and that means that you can forget about cooking dinner tonight!

It's time to give you an update on the progress of construction of the new Pavilion in Fireman's Park. Since our last construction post back on August 9th, there has been a lot of activity as the finish line is now in sight.

The Pavilion will be the central location for the Village of Depew Fall Festival on Saturday October 14th.

Come and listen to the legendary Auslanders Band during the Village of Depew's Fall Festival on Saturday October 14th from 1:30PM to 4PM.

The Fall Festival is being held at the brand new Pavilion at Fireman's Park, 90 Gould Avenue. Come on by and take a peek at the building.
