What entertaining night attending the Unmask The Singer event held at the Hoyt Sherman Theatre. This is the second annual event supporting The Salvation Army Des Moines mission and ministry. Thanks to all who participated, contributed and donated. Special thanks to those who planned and brought this special event together.
Unmasking the Singer event helps raise money for Salvation Army Tamyra Harrison from the Salvation Army takes us inside the Unmasking the Singer event, and how it helps raise money for families in need.
All are welcome to join us for a fun family event, hosted by the Citadel Worship and Community Center. Enjoy dinner and a show, featuring live skits by the duo, Mike & Josh. There will also be a costume contest as well as plenty of candy and treats. So come out and enjoy dinner and a show on us. Wednesday the 25th starting at 5:30 pm.

Hot weather is coming. Polk County Emergency Management Agency, Iowa will activate the Extreme Temperature Plan on Monday, and it will last through Friday.
Drink plenty of water, wear light fitting clothes. And take breaks indoors or at cooling centers (linked below).
Emergency Shelters will offer weather amnesty.
Central Iowa Shelter Services (CISS) offers intake to any age for day services and overnight services to those 18 and older.
Bethel Mission offers intake to adult males only.
Stay safe and cool everyone!
DART will provide free rides to cooling centers.
