On a submarine, these Sailors perform two fundamental functions on the vessel—navigation and communication. As an ETV, you are responsible for all the systems that tell you where you are in the ocean. Radar, periscopes, strategic navigation systems—all are operated and maintained by you. An ETR, on the other hand, is responsible for communications on and off the ship. Receiving messages, tasking, email—any link within the ship or to the outside world comes through the ETRs. See if you have what it takes to communicate and navigate in the deep at http://bit.ly/33MSw9v.

A career in the Navy is a chance to push your limits personally and professionally. Don’t be the one who says you can’t do it. Make history here: https://bit.ly/2E7iQ6l.
Female. Mother. Woman. Warrior—today’s fleet isn’t dominated by male energy. Women walk the halls of submarines, guard the gates of bases around the world, laugh at the grease from a hard day in the hangar bay and save lives by disarming IEDs in the field. It is pretty simple: Navy women get things done.
The Navy uses hands-on learning and testing in boot camp to ensure all Sailors are prepared for challenges they may face.
As an Aviation Machinist’s Mate (AD), you are in charge of the biggest engines in the world. Test, repair and overhaul everything from helicopter rotors to turbojet engines on the F-35C Lightning II. From day one you’ll be turning wrenches and watching F-18 afterburners light up in jet test cells. After a few years as an AD, you can even get your license to work as an aircraft mechanic in the civilian world. This is one of the most hands-on aviation jobs out there. Learn more at http://bit.ly/2oFney3.
This warship is the pride of her class. Want a floating surgery center with fighter jets and the ocean as your view? Achieve it by becoming a Navy Maxillofacial Surgeon: https://bit.ly/2Q7GphS
Navy dental surgery is no joke. Whether you’re on land serving Sailors and their families, on a carrier treating 5,500 people or on a humanitarian mission, this practice sees it all. With the economic freedom to do whatever treatment is necessary for the patient, Maxillofacial Surgeons in the Navy get to participate in more procedures than most of their peers. Working hand in hand with anesthetists, hygienists and nurses, the scope of treatment is as vast as the sea itself.
A good shot takes perfect aim—that is the job of an FT. As a Navy Fire Control Technician, you are the mind behind a submarine’s greatest firepower. With the help of sonar, you will help track contacts, determine trajectory and ensure our missiles and torpedoes hit the target every time. Nothing quite compares to it in the civilian world; you’ll just have to see what it takes for yourself. Learn more at http://bit.ly/32wKFv6.
Locate, track and kill submarines—that’s the job of an AWO. Naval Aircrewman Operators are the ultimate defense against the threats from the deep. Using radar, sonar and a lot more that we can’t talk about, you’ll be the first to hear the menacing “ping” from a sub and the first to make that sound disappear. You are always watching carefully, playing mind games with your opponent to predict their every move. Find out if you have the eyes and ears for this job at http://bit.ly/2Bv7t3r.
