Quick Response Team Launch
Today the City of Detroit Fire Department is set to announce the Opioid Quick Response Team!
The Detroit Fire Department administered lifesaving naloxone 2,400 times in 2023, but data shows many overdose survivors are STILL at high risk for future overdose mortality.
The Quick Response Team will meet residents where they are to prevent future fatalities.

The Private Sewer Repair Program, provides repairs and upgrades to homes hardest hit by the June 2021 flooding disaster. These repairs will help reduce the risk of basement flooding, as severe weather events are becoming increasingly more frequent.

We’re partnering with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to offer Community Health Worker support, resources and wraparound services at seven existing Neighborhood Wellness Centers across Detroit. These centers will continue to provide Detroiters with COVID-19 testing and have expanded their offerings to now provide free blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screenings. The Detroit Health Department is committed to addressing public health concerns, and offers programs and services to help our communities remain healthy and safe.
