To all the responsible dads in Metro Detroit - "Happy Father's Day" - for all you do; fathering, mentoring, helping take care of the villages, contributing to the community, providing for others, volunteering, and taking care of yourselves so you can be "Men for Others"; THANK YOU and Happy Father's Day 2024!
Voyageur had nine soccer teams representing K through eighth grades. As we ended the season at the Fort Wayne Historical Park , we played in multiple championships with a high probability to win at least 1; but that was not the case. The story, it was basically: “what happens when an unstoppable force comes against, movable object”? Only 1 can win. This time it was not Voyageur. Second place was in this story and that’s OK for now, we will change it next year. Congratulations to the coaches and players. How wonderful to see students from all grades and levels giving it their all. Voyageur has the hardest working students and athletes in metro Detroit.
One of these big guys (pick one) play football in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers. He is also an alumni of CCP/VCP and Western Michigan University. He provides scholarships to our students and he comes back to campus and speaks positivity to uplift and encourage them. He is a Cougar 4Life and we are blessed to have him in the Voyageur family. Thank you Jaylon Moore.
Voyageur was blessed to have you if just for a little while; time for you to love us and time for us to love you. We wish we had more time. Voyageur celebrates the beautiful life of Lakeisha and we are forever grateful for her time spent in service to our students and staff.
To All of the Voyageur & Consortium Families, we wish you a Happy Memorial Day. Stay Safe, have fun, and Enjoy!
I am like the little angry mushroom from Super Mario because all of the Voyageur K-12 art and sculptures that I wanted to buy was purchased! That’s ok; I know what to do…at the 2025 Art Show…I will make my purchases before they go on display, and that will take care of that.
Champions are made through discipline, focus, hard work, and perseverance; some of the Core Values of the Voyageur School District from conception. The regional championship was great… but not enough. Our student-athletes are now at Central Michigan University this weekend competing for the States. Run Voyageur Run until you are dead tired…then Run some more!!
The campus today was bustling with activity, including the Detroit art show and mathletes. The mathletes competition began on Tuesday and entered today with team three emerging victorious. Team three included, Jaylen, Angelique, and Jose. They won the money, they won the trophies, and they received the first place medallions. Great job you guys. I am stilkmmm
The art show at Voyageur’s Campus today was again successful. Thanks to the team that worked with Mrs. Halpin to have a terrific plan with thorough ex*****on. Many pieces of art and sculpture was ranked and sold to the public. An estimated 700 people visited the campus to enjoy the creativity of Voyageur Students and students from other school districts who participated. As we always say, “you gotta have art”…Voyageur does Art…. And does it very well we might add!
Happening today!!
Voyageur's goal is to be competitive. Not so much against others as against ourselves. Our goal is to be better than yesterday; and to be better tomorrow than today. Whether running, throwing, passing, catching, hitting, fielding, blocking, defending, shooting, pitching, whatever the case may be; Voyageur competes against Voyageur. Congrats Voyageur Varsity Boys on a strong regional track meet performance!
You've gotta have ART...lots and lots and lots of ART!
Please join us for our End of Year Art Show this Thursday! Below are some photos from our winter show.
Voyageur/Consortium Alumni had two of its best visited our campus today. Mariah Smith Ph.D. Candidate (Wayne State University) and Ph.D. Candidate Daja Elum (Howard University) graced us with their presence and spoke with students who sit where they once sat. Mariah's focus is Anthropology and Daja focus is Atmospheric Science. I was surrounded by academic brilliance. I can't wait to say Dr. Smith and Dr. Elum. WE once inspired them, now they inspire us! Of course we had to take a pic in front of the COUGAR. 😃😉
Voyageur made the Channel 7 Action News. Well deserved; the discipline off the Drumline TEAM (Voyageur's Blue Thunder), enthusiasm of the Varsity Cheer TEAM, Camaraderie of the staff, students, and parents was outstanding. We added volts to the electricity of Cinco De Mayo in Southwest Detroit! WE are VOYAGEUR STRONG!
