The Grove is on the Elba Place side of the HP, near the playground. All ages / all abilities / no experience needed!

Art Road is getting ready for this weekend’s Second Saturday event at Heidelberg Project and the unveiling of their new and improved Art Road Dog House at the HP!

They will be hosting a Painting Party for the new Dog House from 3-7pm this Thursday (Oct 10) at the corner of Heidelberg and Ellery Streets - for anyone who wants to join in the fun. All skill levels welcome!

Today’s tree wrapping workshop with has to be postponed. Unfortunately the trees are too wet from yesterday’s long, soaking rain to be wrapped. 🌧️ 🌧️ 🌧️

Heidelberg Project fans on the East Coast 🎉 HP’s founding artist, Tyree Guyton, just completed “Let The Record Show” a site-specific art installation in Baltimore’s Harbor Place, in collaboration with local emerging artists. Opening reception TOMORROW, Saturday, Sep 28, 6-8pm!

As we approach the HP’s 40th Anniversary, in 2026, we have been working with the amazing and talented Certified Archivist, Joyce LeeAnn Joseph (photo right) of Archival Alchemy® on the HP’s archive. That has us thinking a lot about legacy and the next 40 years!

Last week we took an excellent tour with Field Archivist, Louis Jones (photo left) of the Walter P. Reuther Library at Wayne State. Louis took us through the facility and explained the rich history of its Labor Union archives — one of just a few Labor Union archives around the world!

Fun Fact: The ALSO holds archives of Detroit communities such as: Rosedale Park Improvement Association, Historic Boston-Edison Association, and Corktown Citizens District Counsel.
