Over the last few Troop Meetings our Scouts have been working on the Pioneering Merit Badge. Cant wait to practice these skills on future campouts!
Troop 55 had a blast attending the Brotherhood Camporee at Wellesley Island State Park! The weather and fall foliage was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend!!
Troop 55 would like to congratulate Rhett B. on the successful installation of his Eagle Scout Project. Rhett lead a crew to build food pantry storage for the Emanuel Congregational Church. Rhett regularly serves food from this location to those in need. In his service he learned about the need for this project! Great work Rhett!!
Troop 55 had an adventure filled weekend in the Adirondacks! Our Scouts had an opportunity to camp at Massawepie Scout Camp and hike Ampersand Mountain. Our Scouts climbed over 1,800 feet of elevation gain and 6 miles. This portion of the Adirondack’s was near peak fall foilage giving us a spectacular weekend to camp and hike. Great Job Scouts!
Patrick Shanahan recently completed delivery of his Eagle Scout Service Project. The project was to design and lead the building of picnic tables for the Dexter Memorial Field Pavilion. One of these tables was modified to accept a wheel chair. These tables will provide the community with an increased ability to utilize the facility.

Last night Troop 55 kicked off the year working on Pioneering skills and starting the Pioneering Merit Badge.
Last night members of Troop 55 went to the Dexter Cemetery to collect the American Flags that we placed in April for Memorial Day. We concluded our night with a remembrance ceremony to remember those who where loss on 9/11.
Today Troop & Pack 55 - Dexter, NY rocked it out at the Half Marathon Turn Around at the Sackets Harbor Marathon & Half Marathon 9/1/2024. Love supporting our local communities!
