Great work by our Head Start-Early Learning director in advocating for L.A. County's youngest students.
In the Inland Empire, more than 50,000 children under 5 years-old live in poverty and could benefit from early education programs like Head Start. I had a productive meeting with the Los Angeles County Office of Education's Head Start Director, Keesha Woods, to discuss education funding, juvenile courts schools, and homelessness. When we invest in early education programs, we can help children in our district succeed.
