Y’all were just as obsessed with K + K as I was yesterday so I’m giving this image a permanent spot on the feed + some!

These two officially met in person at a bar in Printers Alley after several months of chatting. They hit it off instantly (honestly, I’m not surprised — their body language is electric!) and have been together ever since.

They now live in Birmingham but will be tying the knot this August in Franklin, TN.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I absolutely loved getting to know K + K and photograph their infectious love while walking around historic Franklin.

K + K ended their evening at Grays on Main for dinner and wine — something I love arranging for my couples!

We woke up this morning to a crisp 64 degrees and I immediately opened up the windows. The storm last night brought in the cool air and all I wanted to do was sit in the comfort of my home with hot tea but still enjoy the fresh air.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That’s exactly what a tented reception accomplishes — comfort of being covered from the elements all while still enjoying the outdoors.

This rainy day wedding was a stunner and I love the way the bright colors from the florals and bridesmaids dresses popped amongst the gray skies.

This summer is heating up!

As we step into this season, Karl and I are preparing for some travel adventures — starting with Cincinnati & Dayton! We’re excited for family time and catching up with industry friends during our visit.

Annie and Rob tied the knot last weekend at a private residence, surrounded by close friends and family. And what began as a rainy day under a tornado watch transformed into a perfect golden hour at this stunning 1917 home.

As the rain poured down, we moved everything into the living room, creating a cozy ceremony space in front of the fireplace. Reciting their vows in this historic home was incredibly charming and turned out perfectly.

Annie and Rob will be celebrating with a larger group this week in San Francisco before starting their new adventure together in Ireland and I can’t wait to see what comes next for these two!

This cake designed by was unbelievably stunning, with the base of the cake iced in a stone-like fashion to mimic the stone architecture of Italy.

The cake was adorned with cascading pink, peach, and purple florals from , laid atop a velvet linen with additional florals set at the base of the table; nestled underneath this tree.

The weather is warming up in Nashville (though, I say that and we are experiencing some cooler mornings!) and whenever I step out into the sun, I’m always reminded of beach sessions at the Don Cesar from my time in St. Pete.

The iconic pink palace is and will always be one of my very favorite backdrops and on sunny days like today, I find myself missing the sand between my toes and the smell of the salt air.

This summer we’ll be heading to Hilton Head, and although its not the pink palace, is sure does make me feel glad to be experiencing the beachy elements again.

It’s a wonderful phenomenon to witness when I get to photograph couples in the same location so close together. Watching how the color and light changes is surreal.

It’s important to know that the time of year can absolutely have an impact on the colors that come through camera — it’s all dependent on the environment (how much green is there?) and the position of the sun (it’s constantly moving throughout the year) and the colors you choose to wear for your session.

The Read House Hotel in Chattanooga is incredibly charming.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Opened in 1872, The Read House has been revered, both as an icon of Jazz-Era luxury and an institution of southern hospitality.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A lot of that character remains today, including the gold trimmed mirror and blue walls.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was the perfect place for Austin and Autumn to prepare for their elopement.

Autumn and Austin eloped on Tuesday overlooking the Chattanooga pedestrian bridge at the Hunter Museum of American Art.

Reminiscing on Lauren and Thayer’s perfect wedding day at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens as I prepare for an editorial shoot this morning and roll right into a wine event I’ve been working on with

When I asked Elizabeth and Michael how they would describe themselves as a couple they said: classic, loving, happy & they love laughing together.

I had so much fun getting to know E + M during their engagement session — their guards were down, they were completely themselves, and I got a glimpse into who they are as a couple. And we laughed A LOT.

Cheekwood is currently in full bloom and we got the most magical weather yesterday. The stars truly aligned for E + M yesterday and I can say that’s true for their love story as well.

E + M reconnected during college when Michael stayed home a week later than he expected — just enough time for Elizabeth and him to get together.

The florals from O + L's wedding day were the stars of the show — lining up core details like the long tables, the cross at their ceremony, and even the chairs that O + L dined on. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A reminder not to take life too seriously — instead: feel the sand in your toes, drink the second glass of wine, extend the vacation, stay up way too late watching a movie with your partner, take a wellness day, call a friend, picnic in the grass, sleep in until 9am, read a fiction, drive down the country road with the windows down. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Tea ceremonies are incredibly special, offering a way for family members to honor your marriage with a gift and in turn a way for you to honor them with the exchange of tea. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The intention and respect in these ceremonies is so beautiful to me.

A quaint toasting reception for Molly and Michael with lots of laughter, tears, and clinking of glasses. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Molly and Michael planned their wedding in 5 months. They went from packing up their lives in Texas, to a wedding in Nashville, honeymooning in Hawaii, to starting their new lives together in Japan.

The words guests spoke over them were intentional and beautiful. M + M are beyond blessed and I'm so excited to see what comes next for them.
