He is 65 years old and family members say he may be confused.

Mathews was last seen at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, wearing a gray tank top, black shorts, and sandals.

He may be heading to Texas in a 2000 Black Dodge Dakota truck with a FL tag ID72EJ.

DETECTIVES SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING A MISSING/ENDANGERED JUVENILE:

Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 16-year-old Jack Knox, who was last seen Tuesday, February 20th, at approximately 7:58 a.m., leaving 6720 54th Avenue North in Unincorporated St. Petersburg.

Knox is described as a white male, 6’02”, approximately 140 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, and was last seen wearing a grey sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.

Anyone with information on Knox’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office at 727-582-6200.

Today is National Slam The Scam Day! What is “National Slam The Scam Day” you ask? So did we. Evidently it’s a day to spread awareness of the many scams that are out there attempting to defraud you good people of your money and/or personal information.

Can you believe it? Scams are so prevalent that they now have a National Day dedicated to them 🤬

The best way to ensure that you won’t get scammed is to be educated in the ways and methods that scammers operate. Use your common sense: If it sounds to good to be true, it likely is. Don’t be rushed or pressured into making quick decisions regarding your money or personal information.

5 Signs of a Scam
If you spot any of these tactics, stop and walk away. You're probably being scammed.

1. They contacted you. When you contact a business, you know who's on the other end of the line. But when someone contacts you first, you can't be certain they're telling the truth. You don't know if they are whom they say they are. And remember, email addresses and caller ID information can be faked.

2. They dangle bait—usually money. Let's face it: People simply don't give away large sums of money easily. If someone dangles bait in front of you—a big prize, a shopping spree, an easy loan — for nothing, they're probably lying.

3. They want your personal information. Anytime anyone asks for your personal information — bank accounts, social security number, etc. — you should be on alert. Don't give it away quickly or easily, especially to someone you don't know. You may become a victim of identity theft.

4. You have to pay them first. If someone offers you a prize, debt relief, or employment — but first you have to pay an upfront fee to get it —you're probably being scammed.

5. You have to wire money or send gift cards. If you're about to wire money or send gift cards to someone in order to receive a prize, or pay off a debt collector that contacts you ... STOP! This is a scammer trying to take your money.

When in doubt always call your local police department for help.

TACTICAL PISTOL/CONCEALED CARRY COMBINED is for those who have completed either the EDC or Basic Defensive Pistol Training with us at HTC ranges. As always, this class will have heavy emphasis on safety, fundamentals, accuracy and efficiency. Attendees will be exposed to new pistol tactics, pistol retention, shoot – don’t shoot drills, while learning survival skills.

Continued training is the only way to hone your skills and be prepared. This training will provide and reinforce a solid protection plan for yourself and your family. The class will be small and limited to 10 shooters only. Before lunch we will shoot as usual from the OWB holster. After lunch, we will draw and shoot from concealed.

Time: 9 AM sharp to about 11:30 AM open carry. 12:15 PM until 3 PM drawing and shooting from concealed carry. If you carry a smaller 9mm or .45 acp concealed, you may use this pistol for the afternoon session. Please bring all pistols to the range with slides locked back and fully unloaded.

Lunch: Bring your lunch in a cooler with plenty of water, Gatorade, etc. Hand wipes are recommended.

Clearwater Police Seek Public's Help To Find Missing Woman

Clearwater Police officers are asking for the public's help to locate a
missing woman.

Christina Lynn Lester, 36, last was seen at about 2 p.m. Thursday leaving Bay
Cove Apartments at 19135 U.S. 19 N. She last was heard from later Thursday
evening.

She is 5 feet tall, weighs 130 pounds, has blue eyes and long, straight brown
hair. She was wearing black pants and a long-sleeve black shirt.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should contact Clearwater Police at

Please help us locate 69 year old Michael Wright who was last seen walking in the 1800 block of East 20th Avenue around 6PM on August 20. Mr. Wright was last seen wearing no shirt, white shorts, and black socks. He is bald with a mustache and is approximately 5’10” and 160 lbs.
