My name is Kat Cerruti. I am the Barn Manager and Volunteer Coordinator at a Christian ministry called Living Streams Ranch, which serves Bucks & Montgomery Counties and beyond. LSR offers hope and healing to women, teens, and children who have suffered grief or trauma.
Our services are offered free of charge, which is only possible through the wonderful generosity of donors, volunteers, and otherwise caring individuals. We are blessed to have a wonderful team of equine partners who are invaluable at aiding in our Ranchers' healing journeys.
We are looking for enthusiastic and horse-experienced college age students with servants hearts to serve as volunteers. There is always barn work to be done and horses to be groomed and conditioned. I thought I would reach out to see if you know anyone who would have an interest in joining the LSR team and supporting our mission. 🙂
Volunteer hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings from 9-12. We also have an opening on our Feed Team, which would be a few hours a week and a paid position.
You could direct them to www.livingstreamsranch.org for more information and a clearer picture of what we do and how we do it.
Thank you so much for your consideration.

A nice feature from The British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre on our DelVal Equine Study Abroad students! Thanks for having us!!! 💚💛💚
Last week we welcomed 18 American 🇺🇸 students from WVU Equine Studies and DelVal Equine as part of their International Horse Industry Tour 🌎🐴
BTRC Equine Co-Ordinator, Holly Hunter, lead the tour and delivered an in-depth presentation 🎞 about the process of retraining and rehoming thoroughbreds, along with Yard Manager Toni, who demonstrated retraining techniques with horses at different stages of the process. 🐎
Rebecca Splan, Professor of Equine Science and Management at Delaware Valley University said 💬 "It was wonderful for our students to learn how the British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre prepares their horses for equestrian careers, and how the BTRC loan program ensures optimal health and well-being for the rest of the horses' lives. Several of our students are very interested in careers in retraining, and they came away more knowledgeable and inspired thanks to the discussions and demonstrations the staff shared with us.”
Student Sarah Rothman (interested in a career in retraining, specifically with Thoroughbreds) said 💬 “Being able to see each step of the horse’s equestrian training gave me a good understanding of how much time and effort goes into the process with each individual horse”.
We were delighted to host this visit as BTRC enjoy collaborating with international organisations and universities to help educate everyone about British Thoroughbred Aftercare ❤️🐎🇬🇧
We are SO excited to kick off the 2024 NAEAA Conference tomorrow at Delaware Valley University with a visit to learn about the Philadelphia Work to Ride Program and to see our friends at Pegasus Therapeutic Riding Academy!!! See you soon, NAEAA friends!
