πŸŽ‰πŸŽ΅ Exciting Announcement! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ΅

We are thrilled to share some incredible news with you all! Three talented students have been selected to participate in the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL this July in Chicago, hosted by Sistema Ravinia! 🎻🎺

Out of over 40 organizations that submitted students for participation, our students stood out and earned this prestigious opportunity. They will have the chance to connect with musicians from Mexico, Sweden, and other El Sistema USA students, making this an unforgettable experience.

🌟 Let's give a round of applause to our selected students:
Senior Dylan Quintana (violin)
10th grader Nephi Garcia (horn)
10th grader Jacob Brady (tuba)

Additionally, 8th grader Emma Murray is first on the flute waiting list, showcasing our remarkable talent at American Prep.

We are incredibly grateful to Ravinia for covering most of the students' airfare, providing free lodging and meals throughout the event, and offering free ground transportation. Our incredible Mrs. Christensen will accompany them as the chaperone.

This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their skills nationally, and we couldn't be more proud of them! 🌟

It has been a long-standing tradition at American Prep to celebrate veterans. We understand that the freedoms we enjoy have been provided at a great cost by many servicemen and women we may never know and whose sacrifice we may never fully understand. It's because of these sacrifices that we believe it's imperative to educate our students about veterans and the freedom we enjoy as Americans.

American Prep is proud to honor Utah's veterans with six live-streamed Veterans Day celebrations this month. We invite our entire community to join our live streams and help us honor those who have served and are actively serving.

At each assembly, students will personally thank veterans for their service through songs and speeches. Each veteran will receive a commemorative pin and a handwritten thank-you letter from an American Prep student.

Click here to watch our Veterans Day Livestream Celebrations - https://hubs.ly/Q027LHW00.

If you know a veteran who would like to attend one of our campus assemblies in person, we would love to honor them at American Prep. Our seating is limited to veterans and a guest/spouse. RSVP through the link below. One of our team members will contact you to confirm attendance and reserve a commemorative Veterans Day 2023 pin for your honored veteran.

We're thrilled to announce that American Preparatory Academy has been recognized as an SLC Top Workplace for the second consecutive year by Salt Lake Tribune! πŸŽ‰

This prestigious award is based solely on the feedback of our outstanding employees, gathered through a confidential survey administered by Energage LLC. The survey dives into 15 culture drivers crucial for any organization's success, including alignment, ex*****on, and connection.

This year, we were honored to be the Life-Balance sponsor promoting resources and programs within organizations that reduce stress, expense, and hardships often found when pursuing a career. Senior Sunrise was a blast!

Our Draper 3 and West Valley 3 seniors woke up early yesterday to learn a great lesson from their Directors and have a great time with friends.

Our Draper 3 students hiked up the Blackridge trail in Herriman, and our West Valley 3 students hiked to the Draper Suspension Bridge to watch the Sunrise.

Mr. Peterson spoke to students about prioritizing and making time for what's important. With college applications coming up, he told them that now is the time to start prioritizing and looking to the future. Students returned to campus for a big breakfast and games. It was a great day!

πŸ“£πŸ—“οΈ Join us this Friday, October 13th, at our WV3 and Draper 3 campuses as we host a special speaker from the Dissident Project organization, Jorge Galicia. πŸŒπŸ—½

We have a rare and valuable opportunity to hear from Jorge, a Christian, lawyer, and freedom fighter with a remarkable story to share. He hails from Venezuela and has witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of socialism on his homeland. Once living a life similar to middle-class Americans, he is now one of 6 million Venezuelans who fled their country due to its economic, social, and political collapse.

Jorge is on a mission to educate and enlighten. He's embarking on a campus tour across the United States to provide his eyewitness perspective on how a nation brimming with wealth and potential can crumble under socialist policies.

We invite you to join our students to listen to Jorge's story this Friday at two American Preparatory Academy campuses. We believe that hearing his story will make a life-changing impact on the hearts and minds of our audience and increase understanding of the challenges that citizens from socialist regimes face.

πŸ“šπŸŒŸ Our 8th-grade students had a transformative experience on Tuesday at the Annual Barn Event held at Lone Peak Pavilion! 🏞️

Throughout the day, they had the opportunity to visit six stations, each offering valuable life tools. πŸ› οΈ

They learned about the incredible power of encouragement and how it can positively impact others. πŸ™Œ

Gratitude took center stage as they discovered the importance of expressing it through heartfelt thank-you notes. πŸ’Œ

The significance of active listening and its role in building successful relationships was a key takeaway. πŸ‘‚πŸ€

Practical skills were honed as they navigated a buffet line and mastered the art of seating themselves and others. πŸ½οΈπŸ’Ί

Last but not least, they embraced the idea that challenges are opportunities for personal growth and resilience development. 🌱πŸ’ͺ

Kudos to our 8th graders for soaking up these valuable life lessons! 🌠
