Our Upper School Theatre production, “Through the Looking Glass”, was a huge success! We are so proud of all of our amazing theatre students. Thank you to everyone who came out to support! 🎭
Evening of the Arts is this Friday, March 24th from 3:00pm until 6:00pm in the George Student Center! This evening of family fun will include our annual Sidewalk Chalk Arts Competition, baND concert, art show, performance recital, and Student Artist Market as well as student-led activity booths and Chef Chuck’s Famous Fish Fry!
We are in need of volunteers for this event, as well. Please click the link below to volunteer!

Notre Dame Academy Junior Thespians took part in the Georgia Junior Thespian Conference last weekend in Columbus! They learned some stage combat techniques, tech skills, Shakespearean and Disco dance steps, and puppetry from a Sesame Street Workshop puppeteer.
Upper School Theater class was excited to have Mr. Yancey Arias visit and talk about the importance of communication, regardless of what career you choose! He also walked the students thru some relaxation and warmup exercises. A few other classes were able to join Theater class for the presentation. Mr. Arias is the son of Dr. Almestica, and he’s in Atlanta shooting for a new ABC series, “Will Trent”. Thank you, Mr. Arias, for taking time to visit!

The Notre Dame Academy Arts Society is hosting a special arts workshop here on campus this Friday, April 22nd. Students in 4th, 5th, MS Art, and US Art will attend sessions during the school day to learn the art of leather craft from local artist, Rob Ponder.
Students in K-3rd are invited to attend an after school session with a parent. See the link below to sign up to join this FREE arts class provided by the Arts Society. Each participant will make 2-4 leather pieces of art.

It has been quite a week in the Arts at ND Academy! Our Literary Team went to state competition on Tuesday! Congratulations to the entire team on a great competition season! ND Arts Society (NDAS) was founded in the spring of 2015 to support our growing fine arts faculty and extra curricular programs. Since then, we have been able to bring guest artists to our campus, sponsor performance assemblies, install arts display cases throughout campus, celebrate student accomplishments with concert receptions as well as host the annual Evening of the Arts. Thank you NDAS members! Upper School enjoyed a performance today by John Doyle from Arts Education Integration Agency. It was entitled “ Atlanta History Through the Eyes of The Johnson Family.” It culminated our month long celebration of Black History Month!

Yesterday, the MS/US baND played an outdoor Christmas concert for the residents at The Parc Duluth! What a way to spread some holiday cheer! Congrats to all! We are full of Wolfhound Pride!
