💆🏽‍♀️Healthy hair starts at the shampoo bowl (or shower or kitchen sink)​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Locs need proper cleansing to maintain healthy hair and scalp and prevent build up.

💡Keep it simple.

-Get into a routine of regularly shampooing your locs.

1-2 times a month is my recommendation unless you have specific hair and scalp needs. (consult your loctician)

-I like to use a cleansing shampoo, a moisturizing shampoo and water based leave in conditioner (if using)

-use black towels if you have dark locs (girl just trust me)

-use color treated shampoos if you have color and add a hydration mist and oil to your regimen.

-If your locs are very dry and brittle, add a “hot oil treatment” to your routine every few months.

-Dry locs thoroughly. Air drying can be done but my recommendation is a dryer to get it done quicker and more thoroughly (especially for longer thicker locs)

-Cover your locs nightly and anytime that you will be in dusty environments to keep them debris free between washes😉

We just took down the front half, (it was in a different style from her most recent appointment), retwisted, and did this simple style.

Such a great way to freshen up your locstyle between full maintenance appointments.
