The Clearwater Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol have been the only junior group in the nation to get invited as Honor Guard to the 80th Anniversary of D Day in NORMANDY, FRANCE!

The Kiwanis Club of Dunedin held its 15th Annual Adventure Run on Honeymoon Island State Park this morning. Proceeds from the run benefit kids in the greater Dunedin area. Thanks to Achieva Credit Union for being the title sponsor. Thank you WFLA News Channel 8 for your coverage!

Yesterday the Kiwanis clubs of Division 12 held its Division Council Meeting. Guest speaker was Laura Tobe, Community Liaison, of the Chi Chi Rodrigues Youth Foundation. She updated Kiwanians about the Academy in the Kiwanis Pavilion. Students earn Chi Chi dollars for good behavior to spend in the academy’s general store. Kiwanians and cubs brought items for the store and well as contributed more than $200 for items for the store. Great meeting hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Dunedin.
The Wil and Rachel Blechman Fund awarded a grant via the Florid Kiwanis Foundation to the Kiwanis Club of Dunedin to assist the House of Mercy and Encouragement’s Project Toddler. The House of Mercy and Encouragement (HOME) is dedicated to providing quality mental health and educational services to children and families in a compassionate and caring environment. HOME Project Toddler – is designed to provide cognitive and emotional—mental health counseling to children 2-4 years of age. This grant provides training for staff specific to the 0-5 age population. There is very limited support for children in this age group.

The next project is making fleece lap blankets for residents in wheel chairs.
