The Glass Jug Beer Lab - Downtown Durham

🧀🍺😋We’ve got a cheese fountain overflowing with house made beer cheese just for you! We’re using our seasonal Festbier to make rich, delicious beer cheese, so BYO dippables and come hang out. We’ll have a limited number of Chef Chick’s soft pretzels available for purchase or you can bring your own breads, fruits or charcuteries to pair with endless cheese and cold bevs!

🍦🍺🚶Nothing better than ice cream in one hand and a cold pint in the other, so come on and walk with us! Celebrate our 10th anniversary week with FREE ice cream, then join the on a low-key walk around the neighborhood. Thanks to the bullpen, you can even take your drink with you. Plus, you can add a scoop to our special seller release of Affogato deviation to make it a float! Sweet treats are in store for you tonight.

Look who’s coming back tomorrow at both locations for a limited time! It’s our decadent Affogato Deviation imperial stout, clocking in at 10.5% ABV. We took part of the batch of Coffee Deviation Imperial Stout and put it in Pinhook Bourbon barrel for several months. We then hit it with some fresh Black & White Roasters coffee beans and a hefty helping of soft serve powder to recreate Affogato, a delicious Italian dessert. This beer is smooth drinking and luxurious so stop by while it lasts!

Tomorrow we’re proud to debut Batch 303, a beer created by our entire staff! This West-Coast IPA, 7% ABV (on Draft Only), will have a Release Party on Wednesday. The latest iteration in our rotating IPA series, this one features a heavy dose of Ekuanot and Citra hops, as selected by our bartenders, managers, and brewers at our summer staff party in July. Fermented clean with our house lager yeast, these hops really shine. Notes of citrus and tropical fruits, plus berries & melon, all layered onto a clean malt backbone with just the right amount of bitterness to keep things crispy.

Can’t wait till tomorrow? Good thing because today we’re releasing our official 10th anniversary brew, Tenth Parsec, a delicious 6% ABV Barrel-Aged Golden Sour with Apricots, available now today on tap + 500ml bottles. The beer is complex, tart, funky, and fruity, with some nice oak tannins and subtle apricot notes. It’s sour, but not overwhelming, layered with some cool complex barrel-aged notes in a relatively light and crisp beer that is perfect for sipping and enjoying as it warms up and the flavors really emerge. It’s just the kind of beer you need to beat the Kessel Run.

We’re pulling out all the stops to celebrate our 10th anniversary this week! First we’re wrapping up our Movie Mondays summer series with E.T. tonight at 7:30pm. And tomorrow we’re releasing our Anniversary Beer Tenth Parsec and listening to the Best Music of 2014, which will be showcased in Music Bingo. Then join us Thursday for our ice cream social with Bull City Strollers as we enjoy the cellar release of Affogato Deviation. And wrap it all up with a playlist concert! So come celebrate with us!

We’re celebrating our 10th anniversary with 10-days of fun events at both our location and the brewery in South Durham, , starting Labor Day Weekend! What’s Music Bingo, you may ask? It’s fun and free and easy, and happens every Tuesday! Starting at 6pm, our awesome host hands out bingo sheets full of song titles then before you know it the music begins. We play short clips of songs and you try to use your musical knowledge to match them up to your sheet. Multiple ways to win each round, and there are prizes! So swing by tonight at 6 to try your hand at winning - the theme is 80’s and 90’s super hits!
