Martin Luther King day helping give away Safe & Healthy Home Kits from Spectrum and Rebuilding Together!
Inside the box residents received a first aid kit, night light, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, cleaning wipes, caulk, weather stripping, damp rid, and an emergency radio.
Thank you to the Triangle Nonprofit Volunteer and Leadership Center, Senators Natalie Murdock and Mike Woodard, Representative Zack Hawkins and all the volunteers for making this give away a great success!

Crashes on the road!!!
As we continue to have some winter weather, make sure you know the three P’s of Safe Winter Driving: PREPARE for the trip; PROTECT yourself; and PREVENT crashes on the road.
Traveling Tip: Stock up on materials you may need in case of emergency, such as: a flashlight, jumper cables, abrasive materials (sand, kitty litter, even floor mats), a shovel, a snow brush and ice scraper, warning devices (like flares) and blankets. For long trips: food and water, medication, a cell phone and a car charger.

The 2nd Annual Durham Fire Department, Police Department and the Durham Bike Co-Op's
"Holiday Bicycle Recycle"!
We are collecting used bikes for charity!
If you have a bike you wanna find a
new home for, or just get it off the porch,
drop it off at any Durham Fire Department fire station
from December 1st to December 14th!
There will be signage in front of each station designating
no touch collection points!
Give your old bike to us!
The DurhamFD, PD and the Durham Bike Co-Op
will take care of the rest!

Have your fireplace, heater and other gas burning appliances serviced by a qualified technician every year!
Never warm your car in the garage!
Never use a generator or other small gasoline powered tool inside your home, basement, crawlspace or garage.
Most importantly, make sure you have a working CO alarm in your home!
