Since 2014, thousands of families have been displaced from their homes due to attacks by armed non-state groups in 's Mayo-Sava department. Displaced children have especially been impacted; without their birth certificates or identity cards, they are unable to attend school.

Our PARC-Cameroon project worked in partnership with traditional, administrative, and local authorities to obtain birth certificates for 218 displaced children.

One child who received a new birth certificate is twelve-year-old Fadi!
