CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES!!!
Believe it or not, dirty brushes can have a direct effect on your makeup application. Let’s say you haven’t cleaned your brushes in 2 months. All of the product that’s trapped in your brushes for two months is on your face every time you do your makeup!
Here’s how to touch up your makeup effectively:
✨Use blotting papers or a sponge to absorb your oils.
✨Apply powder LIGHTLY in t zone areas.
✨Spray with setting spray
✨Use brush to press spray into your skin.
Once you’ve used powder twice to touch up, then you want to avoid it to avoid caking. Follow me for more tips and tricks or click the link in my bio for your one on one makeup class 💗
Yes you need a translucent powder! If you do not use a translucent powder, the chances for creasing or much higher!
Here are some of my favorites:
• Laura Mercier
• Beauty Bakerie
• Dermablend

Highlighter is one of my favorite parts of makeup. Here's a few tips on how to apply your highlighter ✨
1. Brush highlighter across high points
of cheeks with a highlighter brush. If
you're using a liquid or cream
highlighter, you can apply the product
using your finger tips.
2. Brush highlighter down the
center of your face.
3. Add a touch to your brow bone

Now I have seen that some of the girlies do not like primers. I, however love primers! You always want to have a good base before applying foundation help the product adhere to the skin. My base routine is:
1. Moisturizing primer
2. Translucent powder
3. Setting spray
4. Matte primer

Do not get into the habit of this ladies. This is a big cause of breakouts. Cleanse your face thoroughly at the end of the night. If you just HAVE to, make sure you cleanse and exfoliate the next day 💗
Lighting is SO important ladies! Here's some of my favorite lighting tips!
✨ Invest in a ring light! You can get these super cheap from stores like Amazon and Wal-Mart.
✨Utilize natural light! If you have lots of windows, consider putting your beauty area near some of those windows.
✨ Most bathrooms have amazing lighting!
✨Check your makeup in alternative light settings to make sure it looks exactly how you want it!
✨ If you do not have any of these resources, use your phone's flashlight!

Let’s talk about setting powders!!
✨Setting powder is used to set you makeup in place. Particularly the areas where you put your concealer.
✨I also use setting powder as apart of my skin prep routine to help matte the face down.
✨Some of my favorites are: Laura mercier, Beauty Bakerie, and AirSpun.

I know we’ve had this conversation before guy, but let’s run this back!
✨Skin care and prep is just as important as the makeup application itself. The better you take care of your skin, the better your makeup will look.
✨Invest in a proper skincare routine. Partner with an esthetician or a dermatologist in your area that can assist you with your skincare issues.
✨Wash your pillow cases frequently.
✨Make sure your makeup routine includes skin prep that corresponds with your skin type.

Ladies do not forget your setting spray!
✨Setting spray is literally used to set your makeup in place and helps it last longer!
✨There are a variety of setting sprays to meet the needs for your desired look.
✨Adding setting spray though out your routine can give you that 16 hour wear!

A common question I get is: How do I cover up the dark circles under my eyes? The answer is simple…concealer!
✨Concealer is used to mask blemishes such as acne marks, discoloration, and dark circles under the eyes.
✨If you find yourself with dark circles under your eyes you can use concealer in - number of different ways to help cover them!
✨If you do not wear a lot of makeup, try a concealer that’s 1-2 shades lighter than your original skin tone. Place three little dots under your eye and blend with your finger, a small brush, or a sponge.
✨For my girls who like a full beat, try placing concealer under your eye BEFORE foundation in addition to your regular highlighting routine.

Another game changing tip. This one came from my makeup mentor when she noticed that my brows were looking harsh.
✨Utilize your spoolie while doing your brows to help blend your hairs with the product you’re using.
✨I like to brush the hairs in the direction that they grow while doing brows, but in the front I brush upwards.
✨Brushing upwards helps prevent that “boxy” look this making your brows more seamless and natural.
