This is a master built-in unit we recently completed, along with painting the room. The room was originally painted orange-yellow. We installed the built-in, painted the walls and ceilings, and repainted all the trim work.

We built a custom piece for a local novelist. We worked very closely with her to design every part of it. We added a rolling ladder to it afterward. Pictures to come.

This client had a very unique ceiling and wanted something different. We came up with this idea: We only put crown molding on inside pieces of the beams, just to make it a little different looking. It came out beautiful.

We were asked to build floating shelves and bookcases for a customer. The wanted no visible cleats. We built everything in the shop. We went on site, installed all the hidden mounts. This was the final product. We are very proud of how this turned out.

We have had so much work come in in the last month. We have been doing a lot of site visits. I have decided to bring another carpenter on board to help with the backlog of work. If anyone knows of any carpenters that want to work in high end carpentry work. Please share my information. Pay will range from $15hr-40hr depending on experience. Pay will be weekly. We have tons of work and it’s not slowing down.

Things couldn’t be better.

First of Three site visits for the day. We did six virtual consultations last week. Five of the six led to site visits. We got one into contract.

Still waiting to here back on the other proposal.

Good dinner followed by night of SketchUp then to the shop Monday to crank away on the millwork!

We were asked by one of our very awesome clients to do a shiplap tongue and groove ceiling with these large beams. The paint was completed Friday and we put the master bedroom back together yesterday.
The room turned out amazing.

New estimating and quotes.

We have decided to change up how we do our quoting and estimating jobs. We will now be doing a 30 minute virtual consultation prior to doing site visits. This will give us a chance to meet new clients, explain our process and how we do things at Millwork. These will be scheduled between 6:30-83

After the initial consult we will schedule a on site visit. We will be charging for site visits. These will start at $125 dollars. If we have to do designs and drawings we will be charging for those as well.

We feel this will allow us to better serve our customers that have jobs in process. It will allow us to focus more of our time in the shop and produce the high quality of work we are known for.

The site visit and design fees will be taken of the cost of the total job.

We also now have a $3500 minimum on new projects. We will take on smaller jobs on a case by case basis. We will be scheduling lower priced jobs on weekends when can fit them in.

We just finished this massive install today. These built-ins are beasts, They are 6‘5” inches wide and 10 feet tall. The upper shelves are 16” deep. It took 4 of us to lift the upper section into place. This was one of the more challenging built-ins we have done. We were able to build these things in our shop get them over to the paint shop. Wow. What a year it has been for Millwork. We are now taking orders that we can start in the first or second week of April. We have gotten 3 more jobs confirmed this week. We have 3 more families that are very close to approving the work.

We will still be doing Online consultations prior to any site visits. As well as building Jobs in CAD We feel this will allow us to spend more time in the shop producing jobs.

Back around Thanksgiving, I was so sick now we are back doing the incredible work we love doing.

Just left the Mercedes Benz dealership and an order has been placed.

We are excited to announce a 2022/2023 project. It’s going to be a little out of the norm for us but what the hell. We just placed an order for a 2023 Mercedes 4X4 high top van. This is going to be the 170” wheel base version. This is not going to be a work van.

This is going to be a tiny go almost anywhere home on wheels. It’s going to be self sufficient while off the grid for a few days. We are going to build the interior with tons of amenities. It will have a queen sized bed over a garage to store multiple bikes. It will have a shower and toilet. A kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave and a sink. It will have a space to work, sit and eat or just chill. It will have a 32” monitor. It will have Air-conditioning and heat. And well as all kinds of accent lights as well as tons of custom made storage. It will have tons of other features. It will alkali have heated floors.

This van will be able to charge its massive 700 Amp hour battery system from solar, running the van or by shore power. We are planning to have a 30 gallon fresh water tank, a 20 gallon grey water tank.

The van is going to be set up for some serious of grid exploring.

This van is going to be up for sale. We are looking somewhere in the neighborhood of 225K-275K

It’s gonna be an awesome side project, this will not affect Millwork design solutions day to day operations

It’s going to look something like this.

Every part of this build is going to be documented and videoed.

We are only in the planning phase. The van won’t be delivered for at 11 months, the conversion will take approximately 12 months.

Another fun project we completed this week. This one was tricky, We had to get these large bookcases up a crazy staircase but we pulled it off.
