The Meyers Manx Carrera GT has been delivered to its wonderful owner at Car Week in Monterey. It’s been fun to see everyone’s reaction to this special build and watch it being enjoyed on the road. This was such a rewarding project for the Road Scholars team to execute.

We’re excited to be revealing the Meyers Manx Carrera GT in Monterey!  Here are a couple more preview photos before the final debut. This build has been a true labor of love, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you at car week.

It’s always a treat for our service shop to work on various projects on a wide range of vintage and modern Porsches. This week has been jam-packed with these beautiful cars.

Our 5th installment of Gruppe P with on was a big success today! With five out of eight lots meeting their reserves and delivering the goods for some happy customers. Now onto the next! We are actively consigning and considering unique candidates for the next Gruppe P VI auction!

1964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet Chassis #160790 is preparing for the interior shop but before leaving went through extensive research to replicate the factory installed sound deadening material.
The Carrera 2 model was notorious for its quiet cabin and lack of road noise. Porsche achieved this by installing its typical tar based “waffle” paper insulation and then added natural fiber jute padding in the entire interior. This is a detail that we don’t see in many of the Carrera 2 models that have been restored and adds to the authentic experience of driving a Carrera with the 2.0 liter engine.

Introducing Gruppe-P V! We are excited to introduce the cast of the fifth installment of our Gruppe P auction on with our good friend Steve Serio of !

The auctions are launching as we speak, and we will be sharing much more info on each car in the days to come.

The second to last 550 RS Spyder produced, chassis 550-0089 was specially ordered by John von Neumann of Competition Motors. Neumann requested a number of factory modifications that included an oval chrome grille at the back of the engine clamshell and two scoop vents to help cool the engine. This last batch of Spyders also received the reinforced high-frame designed chassis that resolved some of the flex issues with the ladder frames.

550-0089 was delivered in silver metallic with red darts. Raced by Richie Ginther and Jack West in 1956 through 1958.

Newly arrived in our inventory, this 2018 Guards Red GT2RS, is a one owner example with just 1,803 miles. Ordered with the Weissach Package, this is one of our favorite 911 models of all time and ready for a new custodian.

The Meyers Manx Carrera GT project is moving full speed ahead. After being painted in period correct silver metallic, J.R. Marquez and the team, have been working meticulously on final assembly of all the freshly restored parts and installation of the 2.0 liter type 587 engine.

All the hard work on 904-060 paid off with a score of 299.7 out of 300, and a best in class award in Restoration Group Full Factory Race. This was the highest score of the day on the concours field despite a highly challenging judging format.

The 1965 911 #301022 scored 298.4, and finished second in class. We couldn’t be more happy for our client and proud of our restoration team. Fingers crossed for the banquet dinner tomorrow and if 904-060 garnishes any further awards. Thank you to everyone who came to see us today. It was a great day Porsche Club of America!

Excited to see everyone at the 68th tomorrow, as we present #904-060 and 1965 911 #301022

Danny, JR and the entire restoration team have been working meticulously as 904-060 nears completion.

More progress made on the restoration of the 1964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet. Bryan Gremchuk and Danny Omasta fitted the front trunk lid and doors and made preliminary adjustments to the gaps so they open and close smoothly.

With a large batch of trim coming back from being chromed, BG will begin fitting portions of the Carrera's trim, window mechanisms and some of the many jewelry pieces around the exterior.

Roughly three weeks to go before 904-060 is due to make its debut at the 68th Porsche Parade.

It may appear that there is still a long way to go, but the car will come together very quickly from this point forward. J.R. has already begun the process of final assembly and has already installed the gearbox and plumbing for the fuel and brake systems.

In the coming days, 904-060's type 587 engine will be reinstalled, reconnected and will be ready to be fired up to set a base tune.
