Job description
Triangle Atlantic Casket Co is a growing family owned and operated distributor of caskets to funeral homes in NC, SC, and VA.

We are here to help honor lives of others loved ones. Our customers are funeral homes, and the Operations/Warehouse Team's job is to ensure all deliveries are made on time and accurately. Lead time is short so attention to detail is a must as there is little opportunities to fixing errors

Triangle Atlantic Casket Company is looking for an individual who is attentive to detail and accurate, can adapt to fluid demands, is stress tolerant and customer service oriented. This position offers a variety of task, the opportunity to get things done while managing multiple priorities. Can be intense but rewarding. Skill set necessary for success in this position include: great communication ability, data entry, information processing, ability to make hiring decisions and the ability to solve problems with a win/win attitude.

PURPOSE: responsibility for product inventory delivery to customers in the most efficient profit manor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Hire, train, supervise, coach, and review all delivery employees.

· Establishes and/or assists CSM in the most efficient routing of trucks.

· Ensures special deliveries are made promptly and efficiently.

· Assist customers on incoming calls as needed.

· Ensures product is delivered on a timely basis.

· Monitors maintenance and repairs on vehicles

· Responsible for vetting, approving and submitting for payment all invoices related to delivery operation

· Manages inventory in multiple warehouses

· Input invoices into system

· Resolves delivery problems with customers.

· Check drivers in as necessary. Ensure all policies are followed

· Develops cost effective routes.

· Manages the dock. Ensure appointment times are adhered to for all distributors and coordinate with loading times of company vehicles.

· Make and assume other duties and responsibilities required or assigned by management.

OPERATING RESPONSIBILITIES:

Excellent decision-making abilities and judgment are required. Must be able to respond to non-routine situations with promptness and use of good business judgment. Errors could be lost customers, excessive repair costs on vehicles, overtime costs due to poor scheduling.

This job is diverse and complex due to the number of duties and situations which must be handled.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities for all delivery and warehouse personnel, up to 14 people

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma with the ability to complete paperwork. Computer Skills required. Must have some experience in route sales or delivery supervision. Must hold a valid driver. Must be able to past DOT physical. Minimum 3 years of experience managing logistics and inventory

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

On call weekends on a rotating bias and some rare evening work may be required. Must be able to climb a ladder, work with light duty tools, and lift up to 50 pounds. Work is conducted in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. The ability to manage stress.

Today is the 30th Anniversary of the first casket ever delivered by Triangle Atlantic Casket Company! The first casket we sold was an Atlantic Silver to Hudson Funeral Home in Durham, NC on September 22, 1992. We are honored and humbled by your continued support and friendship over the years. We look forward to serving you all for many more years to come!

Some highlights from the NC Funeral Directors convention.

EVERY Friday, most Thursday’s, a lot of Wednesday’s we start our day by unloading a tractor trailer load of caskets! Well the factories are closed this week for vacation!

So delivery team went to Waffle House!
